Oh Grace -- Wait a minute -- something is terribly wrong here. I have sent you my address two different times today and several days ago too. I have all my sent emails to show it. I took your email addy from your Profile. And then today I did replies to your emails . . . what now ??? Am I ending up in your Spam file somehow. Or perhaps you inadvertently blocked my emails. What to do? What to do? I have your address,so you could wait till my envie gets to you and take my address off that. Otherwise, have Kathy send it to you. She has it.

Well among her many talents, Ms. Katmom is an "Embroiderer Extraordinaire" . . . Thanks so much Grace for the delightful ornament and the pretty Autumn towel along with the adorable Himmie . . . Didn't I see recently somewhere on this forum your instructions for adding the crochet top to towels? Too bad I don't crochet. I've always use the excuse of being left handed as the reason I never learned. LOL.

Kathy . . . oh my, your coaster/ornament is terrific. That sure doesn't look like beginner work to me. I have some of that same Singer fabric somewhere in my stash that you used on the back. I love it. I love working on in the hoop projects. I just finished making a slew of gift card holder tags done completely in the hoop. Fun programs that are quick and easy by Kimberbell. Check them out. Your local quilt store probably has them or you can get them online. Most of the designs are 4x4 and 5x7. Thanks again . . . . jean

Kathy,, (I sent you a message via MJF)...
I received your ornament today... Thank you 'sew' very much.. it is 'sew' cute.. and I love the 'singer' fabric you used for the backside...

I think I will attach a satin ribbon & bow so I can hang mine...

Kathy & Jean,,
I have not tried my hand at any of the "ith' projects.. jet.. but I just might give it a go this Winter.
I get emails from Bernina (on their mailing list) and am intrigued with some of the projects.

I need to start out simple and build up my courage for the 'ith' projects.

Inquiring minds are very curious...What is an "ith" design?
The Singer fabric came from your shop..."The Featherweight Shop" near you all. I just love that shop!
I must be honest with you, I sold Bernina's and Baby Locks for 8 yrs and I monitored computer classes OESD when we went there. I also taught Baby Lock machine classes while working at the shop. I loved my job and really enjoyed working there and I miss it so much. But DH developed Alzheimer's and I was needed at home

Kathy,, so sorry to hear about your dear husband.. hugz

'ith' means 'in the hoop....

Oh what a fun job selling Bernina and Baby Lock.. I know Baby Lock was a supporter/ sponsor for Nancy Zieman' sewing with Nancy' show..
I had an older, DECO Bernina embroidery machine.. but it only used reader cards... I had a stash of them,, but I sold the machine earlier this year... just didn't need 3 embroidery machines.. and the lady who bought it only wanted it for monograming and some simple embroidery.. so it was perfect for here.. as old (15+ y/o) a machine as it was,, it still worked like a champ!
A great testament to Bernina..

Well, DUH!! I should have figured that one out cause I've come to realize that Katmom is an Acronymphomaniac ROTFLMAO.
Oh Kathy, so sorry about your DH. No fun being a care giver. Our hearts are with you.
Re the Featherweight Store. I have to get my hubby to take me to it. He is my care giver as I can no longer drive. We need to make one more trip down to Lewiston to do a Costco run before winter gets really serious, and we could make a slight detour on the way home to stop there. I'll have to check it out now and see if I need to make an appointment first.

Do you ladies think that we have time to stitch something for Christmas? Nothing big, but a little ornament or something like that? Maybe we could try our hand at ITH it is easier than you think, Grace.

I am working on a machine stitched quilt for my grand-daughter. It is taking 20 minutes a block not counting hooping time and I have just finished 24 blocks, BORING to say the least, lol It is an Australian pattern and those ladies don't do anything halfway. But it is going to be pretty. I am looking forward to Morgan opening her gift. Kathy
