Hi Betty, How did you choose your screen name? My son has horses, lots of horses. I know they love music...because when I was on water duty and turned on the radio...they would nod their heads keeping time with the music.

Hello Marilyn,
Years ago I began taking lessons in Dressage, after years of horse speed-events and long-distance trail rides.
I fell in love with the graceful, harmonious movements of my horse and I, it was like floating, or dancing. I literally
felt like I was "Dancing with horses." So when I needed a screenname, that kind of recommended itself to me. I have had
it for a very long time.
Both my remaining horses are in their 30's, and I am no longer able to ride because of a spine/hip issue, but I will
always keep the screen name.
Side note: My folks spring from Mt Pleasant and Commerce, Texas. I have In-Laws in Houston.

Betty :)

Betty, Great you could join us.
I have a friend who used to have a great barrel racing horse. She was so delicate, it was hard to imagine her racing fast around the arena.. Her boss’s had some property and had a foal that mamma would not suckle. She brought the little guy home and ,put him in her kitchen on a sheet covered with straw. He would slowly do the splits during the day. My job was to go down to her house and pick him back up again........As he got older she put him in her back yard with her large mix dog. They used to race each other up and down the fence line.....
Once I was over putting water and feed in his buckets. He got close to me and put a hoof on my shoe. I looked him in the eye and said; “You’re standing on my foot.” I looked down.He looked down and swiftly picked his foot up. The dang thing knew English.
Anyway, I am impressed with Dressage..It is like poetry in motion. So glad you had those opportunities.
.....welcome....

East Texas is beautiful!
My son is a team roper.(Healer)
When he was two months old we took him to a local college rodeo, where he slept through the whole thing, under his blankets. But I tell people, that was the beginning of his cowboy life!
To make a living, he is a building contractor.

Betty, I do so enjoy seeing dressage though there is not much opportunity for that in Ohio. Would love to see a picture of you and your horse dancing.

I am dropping my cards in the mail today. It was easy for me to determine what would be on this one. I chose one thing that makes me happy the easiest. I did not realize how I would feel were it taken from me. It was not good. Now, I remember to turn on the radio, sing a song, work on my Uke playing,... something... MUSIC makes me happy! Hope you ladies enjoy. (Mom even helped make some of the cards.)
Of course, a nice walk outside is always good too, thus the frog. (Wink wink)

Have a great weekend! Remember to take a little break from your Labors.

Wow, you ladies are on it! I have been hiding inside the house all day because of the very poor air quality from
all the nearby fires. Finally went out to go to post office to mail more of my swap cards. I mailed a couple over the
weekend but ran out of stamps. I mailed all but two today, I will finish those tonight and get them out tomorrow, When I came home there were 4 cards in my mailbox! I was so excited I rushed upstairs to let y'all know about it before even
opening any of them , I want to take my time and savor your cards !

Very cute cards, Marlene your "falling leaves" were so pretty, and Lenora your "Apple a Day" advice
just cracked me up! Terri Reynolds, your stickers were perfect choices, I collect frogs, and I play the guitar!
And Rebecca, all the things you mentioned that make you happy, make me very happy also!
Thank you ladies - Betty Ann

Well, I got the last of the cards in the ail today. Sorry did not get them all out at the same time, but since I handcrafted every single one so each would be unique, it took awhile. I hope everyone enjoys receiving them as much as I had fun making them !
