Today is supposed to be the last day of this extremely uncomfortable weather. I will start cutting and sending fabric tomorrow. It is so awful here that my fingers are sticking to the keyboard.

Nope. I drink lots of iced water with lemon or lime and take many cold showers.

I do not sleep well. Lowell (DH) has a fan on. The sound is distracting and the air goes up my nose when I move to my left side and dries out the back of my throat. Plus, my legs twitch and itch. I just make sure I am very tired when I enter the bed. I also take a cold shower before going to the bed and only wear panties. I have a light blanket available if I need to cover. Girly, our dog, sleeps next to me and that is a comfort.

Im so sorry Marie. Honestly, I remember living in Texas as a girl and we had no ac. Just used square floor fans and had windows wide open!. It was miserable and my sister and I shared a room and always thought the boogeyman was watching us through the window. Here in hot and humid Alabama I could not imagine living without ac! Spoiled huh? ;)

What part of TEXAS DID YOU GROW UP IN?
We lived much the same way, but when I was about 10, we got a swamp box, a used tv and mother got an automatic washer.

Marilyn, my father and brother were born and raised in Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth area. My dad owned a roadside restaurant called the Roadrunner cafe when we lived in Waco. I was young enough to remember I could stick my hand up inside the nickle machine and turn the ring enough to drop me a prize out! Lol! Ahhh, those were the days my friend!!
Darlene, I go for my second checkup tuesday. Only can use fingers. The wrist pulses with pain periodically but it's still tolerable with no pain meds. Praying all will be well Tuesday as we progress to the next stage of healing!! Thank you hon! God is so good! No matter what!

I just got back from Richmond, VA, yesterday. When I picked up my mail, I had fabrics from Marilyn, Vanessa & Beth. Thanks, ladies! Marilyn, very nice fabrics & Victorian Girl! Beth I love Snoopy too. And Charlie and Lucy and the gang. When I was teaching Art to little kids kindergarten, first, second and third graders...we tried to draw those little cuties...because they are so simple, I thought the kids would enjoy the activities.and they did...but we learned that when someone draws the same images every day... they get really good at it. So it was harder than we thought. Thank you!
