I'll be sure to take a picture Krista. I really like doing it, but it takes a while!

Theresa - making homemade ink sounds like fun. I'm not sure about the quill. I tend to make a mess with everything I do. I'd love to see what color the cactus fruit produces.

Jean - LOL! I like that - housekeeping not cleaning! I need to sit down and makes some lists and organize a lot of things too. But right now my well deserved relaxation after all that Christmas work is my diamond painting.

Ruthie - that looks like a fun project. You'll have to take some pictures when you're done.

Woo Hoo !!! The lists are all done and my Farmgirl binder all put together. So now I feel organized and can get back to crafting and sewing the New Year in. Santa brought me some wonderful new programs for my embroidery machine including one for Mug Rugs. So Tea and Mug Rug swappers -- Look Out, I'm a creatin'.
Happy New Year -- well, for sure 2021 has to be happier than 2020.

Theresa, I’m curious to see how the cactus ink will turn out and what color it will be.

Ruthie, that will be a nice quilt.

I got busy on some UFOs over the weekend and finished 2 of them! I bought a tie blanket kit a year ago and never started, so I'm happy its finally done! Also Maylee was always stealing our blankets off the couch so I bought her some fabric to make a blanket just for her. Well bought that fabric a couple months ago and was finally tired of her stealing mine so I got hers made too.
My blanket

Maylee's new blanket which is apparently to small lol. She may be getting a new and
bigger one.

Marie, they are 2 different blankets. I made her her own. Hers is just plain purple with no design. I’m not sharing my Harry Potter one lol!

Krista you are one good doggie mama! This is a picture of my Oskar and my mother-in-law's Brodie snuggled on the Christmas quilt. I'll never give this one away because of all the dog hair on it!

Love all these projects.
Krista, when I first saw your picture of your pup I thought it was a tiger. Lol! I thought wow, brave gal.
I'm working on some pillowcases. This one is folded over so you can see the front and the back.

Vanessa, I sure do love my dogs! They are spoiled! I think yours are too!

Brenda, your work is beautiful. Is the bicycle one a hat?

Denise, I am definitely not brave enough to own a tiger lol! But now I know what she can be for Halloween this year. Oh my goodness! I absolutely love your pillow cases! I am a huge Harry Potter fan (if you can't tell from my blanket up above lol) I think it's really neat to do them different on each side. Great job.

What lucky puppies! My kitties have straw for a blanket LOL (they're all outside barn cats) I'm not sure they would even know what to do with a blanket!

Brenda - your work looks amazing!

Denise - who will be the lucky recipient of your pillowcases?

Krista - have you read all the Harry Potter books yet? I came across the movies first. My husband and I thought it sounded like the best option available at the time we went to the theater. We ended up loving it. Hubby's not a reader but the next time I went to Walmart I saw the second book. I know books are always better than the movie so I bought it. When I finished one I would get the next one when ever I was in town. Until one day... the next one wasn't there!!!! I was shocked to find out I had caught up to the books being released (or what ever you call it). I became one of those fans counting down the days until I could get the next one LOL! I have all the DVD's too.

I finished my diamond painting. I don't have time to upload the pictures before milking so I'll get it next time I'm on here. I'm working on a swap project now (sewing). It's going to be hard to give it away!

I have and have read all the Harry Potter Books. I started after 1-4 were written and then had to wait on pins and needles for the next ones. LOL! I loved them all. The movies are not as explicit, but they are good. I just read the books first, and also ad 1-4 on cassettes.

Today I'm going to start making my Feed Sack project for the Swap. Finally decided on a couple things to make for my partner.

I found more of the Harry Potter fabric on a bolt. It is the white back ground so I bought enough to make two twin size flat sheets. I will get white fitted bottom sheets to go with them. All i have to do is stitch the sides and ends to make the top sheets. I think the grands will love them. I hope so anyway.

Heather, I have only read 1-4. Number 5 is on my New Years resolution to read. My hubby is gone on a trip this week, so I actually plan to start it tonight since I won’t have anyone to talk to lol! I have seen all the movies and own them too. That’s how I fell in love and decided to read the books to get all the extras not included in the movie. I have also started to collect the illustrated books. I now have books 1-3. A good amount of my sweatpants and shirts are Harry Potter themed! And so is my comforter and some blankets lol! You could say I’m obsessed!

Your diamond painting is gorgeous! Do you plan to frame and hang it.

Denise, that is so exciting! I bet your grandkids will love the sheets!

Denise - If your grandkids don't like them you can adopt me LOL!!

Krista - I have the best mother in law in the world! I mentioned I needed to look for a frame the next time I was in town since my diamond painting is done. She stopped at Hobby Lobby after her dr. appointment yesterday and bought one for me. I got tied up today but hopefully tomorrow I'll get it framed. I'll take a picture when I do. You'll have to post a picture when your book mark is done. I can't figure out what it's going to be yet. It's a great idea for your books! I don't have anything other than the books and DVD's. I'd love to find a wand and the spell to make the dishes wash themselves though! And oh the fun I could have with that invisibility cloak LOL!! Wouldn't you agree Linda? Have you read the books or watched the movies Denise?

Heather, that is so sweet of your mother in law! Do you think you will make another one now? I will definitely share pictures of my bookmark as I go along. It’s the train and platform 9 3/4 theme! The little bit you can see is the starting of the 9. I would love a wand for dishes and laundry! My 2 least favorite things lol and an invisibility cloak would be loads of fun too! A fun way to sneak up on my kids and scare them lol!

I worked a little more on my bookmark over the weekend and started a new diamond painting. The best part is.... the diamond painting is for my hubby for this next Christmas! I’m definitely getting a head start lol!

I'm already working on another diamond painting!! My husband got me one for Christmas that's a winter scene with a barn and a snowman. It's smaller than the other one I did, but the diamonds are square on the bottom instead of round so I have to pay attention when I put them on the picture.

I've been working on a couple swaps. The happy scrapper swap has got my mind filled with ideas - which means there is fabric all over my living room!!! We'll see what I come up with LOL!!

I have started receiving the Swatch of the Month from Alabama Chanin. https://alabamachanin.com/products/swatch-of-the-month-subscription?taxon_id=39

I am learning how to do reverse applique with a pre-stenciled top piece, tie-dyed bottom piece and complete instructions. I am excited.

Marie - I've heard about reverse applique - you'll have to let us know how it turns out and how you liked doing it!

Krista - I'm not sure which I prefer yet. I was trying to listen to a virtual farm conference when I was working on it the other day and I noticed that a couple of my squares were crooked. That's not a problem with the round ones. The first one I did had a clear plastic over the picture but this one had a solid white paper over the picture. That's driving me nuts! Not really sure why but it is. I'll let you know after I get more done which I like better. I'll definitely share a picture when it's done. I don't have the pictures uploaded of my santa in the frame so maybe next time I'll have them ready to show.

On Prudent Homemakers blog, one of the commenters said her daughter was painting tea bags. She said she rinsed them, hung them to dry, painted with water colors and gifted them as bookmarks (string and tag still attached). I know I could never do that, but some of you talented gals may be able to!

https://www.google.com/search?q=painted+tea+bags&sxsrf=ALeKk023Do8S6b_d5NzmHMW66XN-69cPcw:1611509255793&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=Dt6EfwEdlkYc-M%252C2sGMX338WyJxQM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kTZWcuJLrnO1pqcWnUOq_UITsvdTg&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwimh_nli7XuAhWDcc0KHf1zB2kQ9QF6BAgXEAE&biw=1920&bih=937#imgrc=Dt6EfwEdlkYc-M

Apparently it's a thing!
