I've not been on for a while. Things have been to crazy around here lately. Everyone has been so creative! It's going to take a while to get caught up.

Marsha: Your hanky quilt is awesome. I just started a hanky quilt. Still marking the quilting lines but here is a picture of the layout.

Am hoping this one doesn't take 7 years to finish.... LOL

Finally completed my last pocket shawl! Love the color of this one. It’s very beautiful in person. Now I’m starting a new Halloween crochet project. I hope I can finish it before Halloween lol!

That is a beautiful scarf, Krista. What is the finished length of it? So handy with the pockets.

Great butterfly layout, Theresa. I have a lot of handkerchiefs and want to make a butterfly quilt, but it's not on the radar quite yet. LOL!

Grace, I love crochet towel tops. It’s been about 2 years since I have made one. I should definitely make some holiday ones! How do you punch your holes?
Everleigh picked out a black and gold yarn for her shawl. I’ll have to get hers started soon. Should be a quicker work up!

Linda it’s 56 inches long not counting the fringe and 18.5 inches wide.

I almost forgot to share my new wreath I made! It was a fun one to make and I love how the roses have eyes in the middle. Definitely feels like Halloween!

Krista,, luv ytour netting wreath.. uber cute!

Here is how I prep my towels for crocheting..

I cut my towel in 1/2 and serger (or zig zag stitch) the top.
I use a thin knitting needle to punch the holes in the towel. and then I use a size 'F' crochet hook to start the chain and then the 1st row of SC,, then I switch to a size 'H' hook to SC my rows.

as for how I crochet the towels,, I just sort of do several rows and then reduce the next row and each row after by skipping a stitch when I turn.
I prefer to add a 'button hole' as opposed to a flip over tab.
I am all about the Easy Peasy if you pleasy...

I am sure there are cuter patterns, but that's what I do,, while watching TV..

Thanks for the help Grace. The ones I did in the past I tried making my holes with the sharp end of scissors and then just started with an H hook. I love the idea of starting smaller and then moving up and I bet the needle is SOOO much easier than the scissors lol! So glad I asked. I also make the button hole. I looks better.

Joanne, I would love to see that when your finished!

I am halfway done with my Halloween banner. I should finish it today or tomorrow and then I will Start Everleighs shawl.

Hey Krista,, I just discovered,, that the particular towel I am working on (2nd pc) I can poke my Hook-F through w/o using the knitting needle to ream a hole... so I am working on the 2nd towel piece.
I'll post photos when I am finished.

I am almost done with this baby afghan.

All the squares have been put together. I just have to finish the edges and secure the ends.

I love the afghan and dishtowel. I'm going to have to try making some of those dishtowels but I also want to learn how to make granny squares. Everyone keeps telling me it's easy but so far my attempts at crochet have been less than satisfying.

Grace, that is neat! So maybe attempt to use the hook before trying the needle. It would save some time. Your towel looks beautiful. Are you doing th second one with blank yarn too?

Marie, your baby Afghan is pretty. Great job.

Judith, you will figure it out. It took me awhile to learn and everything seemed wrong or didn’t work. It wasn’t until one of my friends showed me what I was supposed to be doing that I finally understood. Do you have someone who could help you?

I finished my ghost banner last night. I just need to figure how I'm going to hang it. I'm thinking with a dowel. And now I need to figure where I want to hang it too lol! Maybe I'll hang it in the kids play area.

I have finished the baby afghan and have left it at the couple's door. They weren't home. I love the color combinations that came out. I basically picked whatever left over yarn I had that was enough to make a round or a connecting line.

I started Everleigh’s shawl. I love the yarn she picked out! It so pretty. I hope you can see the pretty gold in the black. She is getting excited.
