OK,, maybe I didn't actually run away from home,,, but.. DH and I decided the work around the house can wait a day,, so we loaded up Ginger and we took off for the Lake,, it was a long (15min...) drive..heeheehee! But the weather was perfect for a nice leisurely stroll..
The trees and wild flowers were in bloom and the turtles were sunning themselves on the logs...
It was such a nice escape... much needed.

Ginger and I... Ginger has short legs and can't keep up with us,, so a doggy stroller works perfect!

Hubby and Ginger

wild strawberry and visiting bee...

I think these are called Balsamroot... I will have to research them..
All and All,, it was a lovely stroll...

Great pictures, Grace. I'm always amazed at how well behaved Ginger is and up for any adventure you take her on.

Wonderful fun and great pics. I can't believe Ginger rides in that stroller---so funny. My dogs act like hyenas on a date with a jack rabbit---very unruly. We went for a drive down A beautiful country road here with great views. It sure does perk you up to see flowers. I think I can do without people though---LOL> I was just talking to my friend in Monroe county near here and about a horrid murder there. A couple with a meth lab killed their two young kids and threw them in a creek and then burned their house down and killed themselves. She says the county is ate up with people like that and crooked cops. It is such a beautiful county and hard to believe it is so bad. I have met several nasty people around here myself. I have just gotten to the point I only trust the good families I remember from my childhood. It is sad there are so many druggies in our state. But waving is good---LOL---speak and go on is what my grandfather always taught me .Rock on Girl.

Sounds like a wonderful outing! The only walk have close by is the beach, which we are not allowed yet (State of California Stay Home Safe ordinance). Instead I walk the city streets with my face mask, walking around people to keep that six foot social distancing. It is not as much fun and although there are some wonderful gardens it not wildflowers. Enjoy and be safe!

Grace, how I love your pictures and stories. Ginger is so lucky to have such fun parents! I used to do the same thing with my Jackie! I miss my girl! What we don't do for our fur babies! The kids leave and we parent the pets! LoL!

Grace, I love all the photos from your walk, including Ginger in her "People Pushed Carriage"!! What a lovely place to get out to and just walk and enjoy a sunny day. Water always provides interesting things to see no matter where you are.

Little Ginger is so spoiled. A doggy stroller is adorable! Sadly my Great Dane and border collie are way to big for one. Could you imagine seeing them riding in a doggy stroller! Lol your walk looks so peaceful and enjoyable. I just asked my hubby if we could take the kids on a walk tonight. I think we could all use a little fresh air and change of scenery. It’s a nice day outside, so it will be perfect.
