Ladies, my newest box from Grove came mid week. They have made the Seedling paper products better! They are totally made of bamboo now, thicker and softer!

Hi Julie we are partners in the Zero Waste swap. I will let you know when I get your package ready to mail. It will probably be around the end of January. Perhaps a bit sooner.

I think you will enjoy Grove, Dianna. I signed up after watching Farmhouse on Boone. Then as if to assure me it was ok...God put Some young women unboxing what they ordered, on you tube for me to watch.
They really improved the seedling products by making them from bamboo with no sugarcane added. So nice and soft. Enjoy.

Well fiddle stix,, I spotted this to late..
I think this is a great idea...

fyi: I just finished reading "The Zero Waste Lifestyle", by Amy Korst.
I checked it out from our little Library.
A lot of great ideas for trying to live a less wasteful life...
It also has some great 'recipes' for making your own cleaning supplies...

I am a big fan of Trader Joe's multipurpose cleaner made with cedar... but in this book is a recipe for a multipurpose cleaner that I think I will give a try.
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp borax
2 Tblsp white vinegar
1 Tblsp liquid castile soap (like Dr Bronners)
2 c. boiling water
20 drops of EO (lemon, mint, lavender or what ever scent you like)
Mix together all of the ingreds except the EO,, let cool and
then add the EO and pour into a spray bottle.

And yep, make your own market totes,, I keep mine in the car all the time,, but to be honest, I did buy 2 big insulated totes for my frozen and perishable foods...
Our little market in town, actually gives you a nickel back if you bring your own bags instead of them having to pack your items in their plastic bags.

So, I applaud you gals for making the effort to waste less. And what a great idea for a swap.

I forget who it was,, but some time back, one of our MJF gals made 'bowel lids' from fabric and stitched elastic around it so you can cover your bowels (like a 'shower' cap" concept)..

I have also seen them on 'etsy'...

I started making them years ago. I cut a wash cloth into 4 pieces and then bind the raw edges with twill tape. I keep one in my purse for trips to town. When I travel I put a few extras in my suitcase so I can put a clean one in my purse every day. I use it instead of paper towels or a blow dryer when I'm in a public restroom.

I'm loving the new silicone ziplocks and fridge stretch lids that are becoming so readily available these days. They're a wonderful idea and so easy to clean.

Swap delight!

Thank you Kelly! Such a cache of goodies. I already had one stainless-steel sipping straw but not a cleaning brush. I'm all set now for iced-tea season, including my grand girls. I watched a PBS special where some biologists brought a sick turtle in to see if they could make it well again and had to pull a plastic straw from all the way down its nose. Made a believer out of me.

And hankies. Yay! I have a box by my door and grab one, sometimes, two or more, every day for my pocket. On occasion, my grand girls have ironed my stash for me.

And sadly, I've bought quite of few of the bee wraps as gifts but never one for myself. I'm excited to put it to use.

And crocheted reusable tampons?! Who knew?! I'll tuck them away and see what my grand girls think of them when they come of age. For many years, I used homemade flannel pads, but had no idea it could work for a tampon.

I even loved your card.

Many, many thanks.
