What are your favorite Instant pot recipes? I recently purchased one and have fallen in love! It helps me make delicious meals with my crazy nights. So far I have made fettuccine Alfredo, chicken pot pie casserole, taco pasta, and ham and pea penne. I have loved every single one. Tonight I will be making pina colada rice pudding in it. What are your favorite Instant pot recipes? I'm excited to try some more!

Hi Krista,
I make my version of spaghetti. I like to use turkey or chicken meatballs or ground up. It comes out so good and since I use only one pot clean up is a breeze. I also made ground chicken for tacos. I use my IP any time I need hard boiled eggs or potatoes for mashing.

I had heard about boiled eggs, but haven't tried them yet. On Sunday I have plans to make potatoes in the IP. I found one for ranch bacon potatoes. It sounds really good. Chicken meatball spaghetti sounds amazing. I want to try that one. Are your meatballs precooked or not?

Hey Krista & Nancy,,, I just bought a 6qt Instant pot today, for my motorhome..
Both my sister and my daughter have and luv theirs... and use them quite a lot.
I have made 'Chicken & Dumplings' in my sisters pot.
My sister makes hard boiled eggs a lot in her among other meals.
So now I need to get over my instant pot fears and start cooking in it.

Good mornings Ladies,
Krista, I buy pre made Italian style meatballs. They are almost as good as Dad's.

Gracie, chicken and dumplings sound awesome.

On You Tube there is a channel called Six Sisters Stuff. Kristen has a lot of tips and recipes. I also like Cooking with Doug on you tube. The recipe I use for spaghetti is from Sandy Clifton. This is the link:

Grace, you sound like me. I seriously avoided buying one for so long cause it scared me. It sounds super complicated, but my good friend always talked about how much she loved her so I decided to finally give it a try. Now I'm glad I did. Your chicken and dumplings sounds good. I came across a recipe for that on Pinterest. I'll have to try it now.

Nancy, I have heard of the Six Sisters. I have a few of there freezer meals. And some of them are family favorites. I didn't know they had instant pot recipes, so now I will have to check them out again! Thank you!

My bacon ranch potatoes didn't turn out the greatest. Not sure what went wrong ( I'm think lack of water in the recipe) but by the time the bacon was cooked the potatoes were so soft. So I just turned them into mashed potatoes instead. Tasted good. But didn't cook up correctly.

Krista,
Maybe pre cook the bacon on saute', remove and drain then add the potatoes with the water and the cooked bacon. You wouldn't have to pressure cook as long. I love the saute' function and have used it a lot.

I made up a (large) pot of rice... so I made Chicken Fried Rice with most of the rice and saved some for hubby who likes to put a dab of butter, some milk and sugar and eat it... I married a strange man!!! Lololol!

Good thinking Nancy! I will try that and see if it works better! I like the sauté function for my taco soup. This way I only use one pot instead of a pan and a crockpot. It's amazing what you can do with an instant pot.

Grace, I have put butter on my rice but not milk and sugar. It sounds very interesting. Does he use a lot of milk? Sort of like making it like eating cereal? Almost sounds like a dessert.

Krista, it's like a warm rice 'cereal', if it were me, I would add a few raisins or cranberries...

Oh that makes sense! I'm intrigued to try it. I think I would leave the butter out though. And I agree added cranberries would be delicious. I'm not a fan of raisins. Never have been. Oatmeal raisin cookies are the closest I get lol.

I grew up eating oatmeal or rice for breakfast. Always added milk, butter, and sugar - sometimes cinnamon. Sorta like rice pudding without the eggs. Now I like it with just sugar and butter.

Grace, share it with me please! I would love an easy and delicious mac and cheese! Especially since my kids love mac and cheese.

Sara, now I really have to try this out. Both you and Grace are making my brain work!

How much do you mix of each item with each other. I'm going to try it!

Oh yummy!!! Ok so I am missing the hot pepper sauce, but we don't like spicy things in our house. Can this be left out?? No worries! I'm a blond to, so I definitely understand. I hadn't even realized it was missing until you said something! Lol

Does your food stick to the bottom of your pan in the instant pot? It's not as easy clean up like I wish it was. Is there something you put in it before cooking to help it not stick? Also do any of you have more than one pot insert?

I have the crock pot express cooker. It has the no stick surface. If I had the steel pot like the IP I would probably use a little oil when using the saute' function. Otherwise, I would think the liquid would be enough to prevent sticking. Maybe put the liquid in first then add the other ingredients. Hope that is helpful.

I will try the oil when I sauté next. I was even thinking that next time I should take the pot out when it's done cooking. That way it's still not touching the heating element. That may also be the reason why it's sticking. Thank for the help Nancy.

Has anyone made bread in their instant pot? I am dying to make some but I want a recipe that is a guaranteed good one. I'm not a huge bread maker so I am afraid of messing it up lol! I would really love a sourdough recipe if all possible!
