Hi farmgirls!
I've been thinking of embroidering a days-of-the-week dishcloth set for my sister for Christmas, but I want to make it personal to her life - a part-time college student and SAHM of a 5 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old! Anyone here good at making sketches that I can turn into pretty embroidery for my sis? Let me know!
Maggie

Hey herbangirl! (love your login name! So cute!) What type of things are you looking for. I am an art teacher and might be able to help you out. Can you be more specific?

Jewelry, art, baskets, etc.

Hi! Well, I'd like to have sketches for different household chores...the old dishcloths would show women doing the various chores, Monday was "Wash" day, Tuesday was "Iron" day, Wednesday was "Baking" day, for instance. So for the "Wash" day, it would be a picture of my sister doing laundry with her toddler playing in the laundry basket...or for the "Cooking" day my sister would be stirring a pot while reading a book (for school) while 5y/o son is putting dishes away behind her. I want the pictures to be kind of whimsical and cute, and very personal. Maybe the Sunday one would be "Rest" and show my sis napping on the sofa with a textbook on her chest, while the kids read a book together. These are just my thoughts, but I'd love to hear any other ideas!
Thanks for offering to help out!
