Hi girls
We are getting our first angora rabbit in a few weeks. I am hoping to have some fun learning to spin its wool. The book "Completely Angora" has been recommended but the cheapest I could find it was for $65-$75 dollars. Yikes! That is more than the rabbit! Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew of the book, whether it was worth it or better yet would be willing to loan, sell, or trade/barter me something for it? I have some really cute kids.....lol. Let me know. I'd appreciate it! Thanks,
Megan
ps. any other suggestions on books for this sujuect or also appreciated

HOLY COW!!! I have the book in paperback and I know I didn't pay that much. It IS the best book. I have another I could send you (I do want to keep hte completly angora one) if you email me your address I will get it out to ya...I may have some angora info for ya too. I used to have 28 bunnies, mostly angora before we moved here..but now just have one lone stinker of an angora buck. I intend to get more again. They are great..well, usually..I have the only mean angora I have ever seen. You know what..try a spinning shop for the book..they would have it much much cheaper than the price you found I bet. I will look for the address of my favorite spinning shop in Calif..I don't have one here..and I know they would order it for ya if they don't have it. I will check Amazon.com too. You will love that book.

http://www.angorarabbit.com/angora/angora-rabbit-manual/index.htm

Here is the online Angora Technical Manual - A great resource, and free.

What breed of angora are you getting? I have raised them for about 10 years, and currently have French and Satins. I have them both for showing and spinning their wool.

Hi Lisa,
I am getting one of your rabbits, one of the chestnut satin bucks! I am the one who contacted you from Granville. Can't wait to hear when the little guy will be ready! Thanks for the link, I will check it out.
