<b>Okay, I have to tell you that I celebrate May Day and look for the wee ones each year. I have been tempted to try and catch the dew off the ferns in my woods too. I have been known to weave a wreath of ivy and violets and tiny pink roses and wear it on my head as a crown and put on a vintage gown (I have my eye on a wispy purple one at the Goodwill store) and traipse the woods just feeling the magick of the warm May day.
So.......I was thinking that we could exchange some sort of May Day type item - doesn't have to be real flowers, faux is fine - perhaps a little something special to leave out for the faerie folk - or some other tidbit associated with this wonderful holiday.
If you are interested, just send me an email with the usual name and addy - if you have done so in the spring fling seed exchange, just email me and let me know your name and I will add it to this new list.
Lets have a cut off date of April 1st to give us all time to gather some goodies!

I think we should gage it by how many gals we get to sign up, it could end up like the seed exchange which I am figuring to be an exchange of three names each. What do you all think?

I agree. Especially since many of us are in more than 1 exchange. It can get costly with postage.

I don't want to sound like a goofball ~ but I'll risk it anyway! I've never celebrated May Day, and know nothing of the "wee ones" and what a person would exchange. It sounds really sweet, would anyone care to educate me? I'm looking for ways to bring some fun back into life, this sounds like it may need to be added to my list :) Thanks!

Boy oh boy, I feel like I am dating myself by celebrating May Day hehehe - I always loved looking at old fashioned pictures of the gayly (sp is that even a word - gialy?) decorated May Day pole of ribbons and children winding themselves around it. Or, leaving a tiny basket of flowers on the porch of an unsuspecting neighbor.

So far 11 names - it will depend on how many names we gather - if we get up as high as before 24, it will be a two person swap.

What are you all thinking about this exchange? I really have some different kinds of ideas floating around and cannot decide if I am on the right track. Let me know.
