I leave my garage door open as it's broken and usually I get mulitiple families of starlings taking up residence. For the past couple of weeks I have seen a beautiful cardinal flying out when I go out. Do they normally make nests in places like this? I think it's wonderful. I'm hoping maybe they can keep the starlings away as they will break off every plant in my garden when they're about 3-4 inches tall...grrrrrrrrrrrr

Blessings....

We have starlings that make a nest on our ceiling fan that is on our carport every year. I have nailed a board up near the roof there hoping they would use that isnstead but they come back to the fan every year. As soon as the babies start flying we take the nest down but they still come back EVERY year for 6 years now!
