So, I finally got some pictures uploaded, and wanted to share! I'm starting to take pictures of my crafts, to see how much I make, and I thought the farmgirls might like to see them.

Here's the first one I made:

And here it is with the other two:

And here's the pincushion I made last night, while the baby was awake. I tried to be all artsy with the picture, but it was my first attempt:

Good Job!
I'll have to try the Tomato. I'm getting ready to make a stuffed Neko Cat for my daughter.

I love my cloth pads. So comfortable and no more "girlie" infections. I am now a total convert!!

Where about in Indiana are from? N-S-E-W? My family still lives in Fremont, I was born in Ft Wayne.

Those look great! Once you try cloth you won't want to go back to the disposable. I'm in the same boat with Kim, no more rashes or infections from the bleached out kind. I love your tomato too.

Blessings....

Thanks! I'm pretty proud of my stuff. It's so cool to be able to look at it, and say, I MADE that! :) I still need to add snaps to my cloth though.

Oh, I've been using cloth since college. :) But these were the first ones I made. My first pads came from Lunapads, and from then on have been from WAHMs.

Those are ingenious! And the fun fabrics sure would make that icky time a little more bearable. (However, not enough to make me wish I still had need for them!! :) Your tomato is so cute, and very well photographed!

I like Hagrag, I love the fabrics. Never ordered anything from her though- I have a question- are her pads really thick? Because they look rather thin to me, and I need a thick pad.

You can get various thicknesses of liners for the pads. They are 2 separate pieces.

Very good job. Are you using snaps or applix? When I make my own I like to use applix.

Hmmm....Don't need them anymore, but I'm wondering if they would be good for bladder control? Hmmmmm....might have to try sewing some up...of course, not for me...LOL.

Oh, and I have two daughters...still pretty young, but I think I would rather have them use these right from the start. So I have a few years to sew and stockpile!! Gosh, I've learned so much from all of you here, I am so thankful that I have all of you wonderful farmgirl friends! Proof positive that you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Love the 'mater pin cushion. I'm going to have to try one of those. I've got some pretty red vintage fabric sitting around!

Great job!

Aplix is a name-brand of hook-and-loop tape...like Velcro.
I've never used it, so for someone who has...Is it preferable to Velcro? How do the two compare?

I really like aplix better than velcro. Georgann, giving a girl a supply of cloth for her Menarch is one way to commemorate it!

I use the cloth mini pads/liners on an every day basis. Even though I still have my moons, in between I can sneeze and have a little accident.
