I don't enjoy shopping, except for fabrics. Seeing the seasonal prints is exciting. Hard to resist!!!

I just got some neat Christmas fabric to make Ed and another friend Christmas shirts. It is trucks filled with presents and Christmas trees. I got it at JoAnns. I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow.

I've never done this kind of swap before, anyone have a pattern that I can use or download?

Melinda, I think Linda has a pattern. I just cut a rectangle, hem the sides and bottom. Gather the top and add a waist band with ties, all one long strip of folded fabric. Then I go back and add my fun stuff, like lace and embellishments. I have used a lot of 10" squares, cut in half, add lace or a contrasting ruffle, hem, gathers and waist band. I asked when we started and Linda said they should be about five inches long and I try to keep my aprons gathered top/waist at about Five inches too.

I have a pattern for the one-piece with bias binding (like a detergent bottle apron). Or just as Marilyn said - a rectangle (mine start 8-1/2" x 5"), hemmed on bottom and sides, gathered to 5" across, waistband added and trims. Simplicity has a pattern - some of them are very involved and detailed.

Grace, you would be a great Mini Apron Swap Hostess!!! I can't even think about extra duties. I have six weeks of PT, so hopefully I will be able to walk normally once again. I also must figure out my gut...since my doctor said "you have diverticulitis, take some antibiotics, you will get better." Sadly he never said I would have to eat differently., give up my beloved MOO juice, etc. so Miss Grace you have a couple of months to get settled and then...
