It's time to start signing up for SEPTEMBER Mail Art!
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines.
FOR SEPTEMBER, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through SEPTEMBER 10. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
The theme is COUNTY FAIR.  I will send an email with your partner to you on SEPTEMBER 11. Please send your Mail Art before SEPTEMBER 31.
I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. We all love seeing the inspiring art! And a quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.
A couple more things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

My theme suggestion for this month is Country fair. Our town of Armstrong is hosting the 118th Interior Provincial Exhibition this week. I entered a crochet blanket into it and even though I didn't win I had fun in the process. Hope to talk my DH into going to the rodeo and barn dance tonight, yehaw.

Jutta, I adore County fairs partly because I have a fear that they are a dying thing. My county just finished ours at the end of August. I try to go every year just to be sure to do my part to support it. At a county fair you can still see that down to earth things -- like all the things Mary Jane supports and promotes--are still alive and well out there, and not everyone is glued to a device or ordering goods from Amazon. It's refreshingly reassuring!
(I am aware that you said Country, not County, but its the same thing, just different sides of a border! :-) )

Yes Sara country and county have the same meaning in this case. I am so lucky that the town I'm in hosts a five day fair each year for all of the interior of BC. This one was it's 118th year! Love to see the giant pumpkins.

I have to say a great big thank you to my mail art person. I received a wonderfully fun package, it was full of all the goodies you could find at a country fair. Straws for some wonderful country fair lemonade, all the fixing for Caramel apple nachos, very cute winners ribbon a cute banner and card. Thank you my mail art person . And a very cute crossed stitched S. All beautifully wrapped too. . .jpg?v 67136551) sorry I forgot the little rubber duckie soaps.

Rebecca, your wonderful package arrived, I enjoyed your album and all the goodies too. Sorry we started a huge reno half the house is torn apart and I can't find my camera so no photo. :(

I love seeing everyones inspiration for county fair mail art... I usually join the mail art swaps every month, but was intimidated by this one as I was drawing a complete blank as to what art I could possibly create. The pictures posted are such great ideas!! Very cute and such happy art! Love them!

I got my mail art today! I received a beautiful notebook, gorgeous note cards, a fun fall clip, all hand made, as well as, bird buttons and a farm scene bandana. All came by way of Canada!
