I live in northeast Texas and we are starting to see gas shortages because of the refineries being shut down along the coast. Several gas stations in town are already out of gas. I'm sure other towns and cities are feeling the same affect. Until other refineries ramp up other areas of the country may have shortages too.

Krista the refineries went down before the hurricane hit for safety and environmental reasons. So did all the chemical plants.

Yikes, that information is not making the news out here in Southern California. How is everything by you Sara? Are you, family and friends okay?

Jana, thanks for asking. I'm safe and so is my family. Been dry as a bone in northeast Texas. We have been cool for August - in the 80s instead of the 100s.

I filled up today at Costco for $2.09 a gallon. Across the street QuikTrip was $2.38. Prices have really gone up and QT said that there will be many stations that don't have gas.

Sara,
I've been wondering about you! So glad you are in different area.

Linda,
We were paying $2.32 BEFORE the hurricane became a reality. Saw it today for $2.48 . . in southwest Colorado.

Yes gas stations in Bandera, Boerne, and San Antonio are all running out of gas. Gets pretty freighting.

No gasoline in the Kerrville area. I hope we are able to find it soon. LOL

Wow Sara I would not have thought of that. Hope you and other sisters in your area are doing ok.

I live 40 miles from work. If a shortage spreads it would hurt bad. Gas out here is close to $4.00 p/g already. Still glad to know you are ok.

I remember those long gas lines years ago and I hope that is not where we are headed again. Praying for you, Sara, and for all those in Texas affected by the storm. Anne

Yes, in God I trust.
