Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Holly,
Try looking for your files in the folder called "Trash". If you haven't emptied that file, they should still be there and you can just drag the files back to where you want them. Good Luck.

There should be an icon on your desktop called the Recycle Bin (if you have a Windows operating system). That's were stuff goes when you delete it. Look through the list of deleted items. When you find what you're looking for, right click on it. You should have the option to "restore" it. Good luck!

Thanks ladies but no, these are files that I deleted from my internet explorer history (temp int files) and they were never in the recycle bin.
Any other thoughts?

If it is an internet file pretty much once you delete it it is gone. What exactly are you looking for. Temp. files usually just cache info from pages so they load faster. I am not really sure what you would need. Can you clarify?

I deleted history (internet explorer) that I need to look at and was hoping I could retrive it. I know it's still on there somewhere just not sure how to find it.
Thanks though!

If you have deleted the history in IE there really is no way to retrieve it. It can be done professionally but it can be VERY expensive. If you delete the history it should not affect any bookmarks or anything. The history is really only good for checking where someone has been on the internet.

You can download some software that will mail you copies of the internet history. Also if you are trying to check up on kids many know to delete the history. The best way is to get the software that will email you (even at work) what is being done on the computer!
