So cute! LOVE the little leg warmers. Did you make a matching pair? Grace is adorable in her skirt. They are so lucky to have a mommy like you!! I love homespun darlings like your babes. My little girls love wearing what I make for them too. Thanks for sharing!! G

How precious! They look so soft and warm. They will go perfectly under a long skirt too!! Are you making some for yourself too? G

Tasha, where did you learn to sew? I know that was a recent post, but I haven't read that thread yet. I would love to learn, especially after seeing all the adorable things you seem to whip out so easily. Any suggestions on where I could go to learn? Jo Ann Fabrics? Your house? just kidding! -Megan |

I learned in home ec when I was in h.s., but then sorta forgot how but ressureccted it onmy own a number of years ago, maybe 4 or 5 years ago....granted I graduated h.s. in 1998, so only almost a decade ago. i love it. it is one of my most favorite things to do. i dont like using patterns, though I do from time to time. It is fun for me to draft something either based on something I saw or just my own thing.
This week's project is a mermaid tail for Grace.....the requests I get!!
I bet you could learn through a local quilt shop (I shop Joann, too, from time to time, but imho, it is best to learn from quilters- at least the basics-and purchase from them-pricier, but not big box like Joann) or through community education or soemthing...

LOVE the leg warmers!! Why did I not think of that when mine were babies. Ahh,,,maybe for the grandchildren when that time comes (hopefully, not for a few years until Maddie gratuates high school and has some time on her own first).
I really MUST get these valentines done tonight so I can get to the sewing machine and try my hand at some quick skirts.
