I love getting home from vacation and picking up my mail - lots of surprises - all at once! Packages from swaps (2), packages for swaps (3), packages from an online order (1), and lots of postcards (5). I received postcards from Daizy, April, Maryellen, and Karla (2).
Karla - you may have left someone off when you sent the postcards - I got 2 identical postcards and messages from you.
Thanks everyone!

Hi Linda, What happened is I did some of my cards and of course I laid down my list and forgot where I put it. Well I printed a new list, and relying on my memory (LOL) thinking I knew just where I left off, I finished and mailed them out, then I find my old list, isn't that the way it goes . So some get 2 cards, and I have a good laugh at myself, again. Hugs Karla |

Ginger, That is for my daughter and I had given you the wrong street number. I did send out an email with the correct number but perhaps you didn't get it.
Her street number is 5208. Not 5408
I had hoped that they would deliver anyway. My apologies! CJ

No need for embarassment. I do not have parents so these little mishaps become funny stories and look at the connection you both have. I would give anything to have a mother who was involved and active in my life. The fact that you both are Mary Jane Farmgirls is a wonderful opportunity to create memories and spend time together doing badges, crafts, and sharing. Just look at the bigger picture not silly numbers in an address. Seriously, I would get no mail if not for these swaps. You have a real connection to treasure.
I will mail Robin a card today. |

Good evening everyone,
Yes, Dianna I did receive a post card from you. Right after I received your post card we had a Great Horned owl get its talons on one foot wrapped in the polypropylene netting we have over the top of our meat bird pen. I could not find anyone who knew what to do. So, I put on a leather wood stove glove and took a pair of scissors and cut the netting. The owl stood on my wrist and then when the caught foot was free stood with both feet. It must have been exhausted because to me it stood there for several minutes then it flew to a fence post and then across the field to the forest. It was a very exciting experience. YOur post card was of an owl from Germany.
I also received the home made postcard from Marilyn and wished I had thought to make the cards myself. Although I did take the picture I sent out. Thank you very much.
Sweet dreams,
Holly farmgirl #2499

Your owl experience was exciting. Once, many years ago, driving to our home on a twisty dirt road I had to stop for an owl that was in mid air trying to lift his supper up over the tree tops. The trees were only about 15 foot tall but his dead chicken probably weighed about what he did. It was awesome to see, as if in slow motion.

Carole, I received your post card with that huge Lady Banks rose. I love roses. We had a local nursery that planted a yellow Lady Banks to arch over the path way to the outdoor plants. It was beautiful for 25 years and I loved to walk beneath it. Thank you.

HOLLY!!! That is a great experience that turned out very positive! Thankful you were there to help! Marilyn, aren't they amazing?? I've done wildlife rescue at our local sanctuary for the last 4 years but mainly over the last 30 years of my life. My mother would tell you I've done it ALL my life...lol...bringing home all kinds of critters since I was very young; bugs included! :) Yes, I received Carole's lovely card as well! TY
