WOWEEEEE!!!! YAY! Farmsisters, I just received my envelope of Animal Print Aprons!
Did I say WOW? I just cannot stop looking at them. Absolutely Awesome!!! I want so bad to post pictures. But to not ruin the joy for others I will hold off for now until I know you too have received your envelope.

All I can say is...You are going to fall in love with them.
Thank you to all of you! Made my rather gloomy rainy day full of sunshine.
My 64 year old heart is all pitter patter with joy!

Hugs and Giggles!

I will try my best for mischief, Grace.

Glad the aprons are starting to arrive. Marilyn usually gets them first when I mail from home; I guess Muncie is closest to Grand Rapids. LOL!

Well go figure... I decided to pop over to our little P.O.,, found a 'yellow pick up' card in my mail box,,, mind you there was only one piece of mail in my box and my box is of medium size... did the clerk bother to put the large envelope in my box,,, well of course not... so now I have to drive back up to the post on Monday to retrieve my package.. I have been having issues with one of the clerks ( filed a complaint)... and now I am having all sorts of odd issues receiving my mail... uugh! small town living!!!!
I know that 90% of the staff at Post Offices all over the USA are good people who take pride in their job,,, but this 'clerk' has a major "big fish in small pond" attitude,,, not just with me,,, but a lot of other patrons... yet the P.O. keeps her and continues to let her work up front,, uugghh!
ok,, done venting,,, sorry,,, you had to hear me ramble and vent...
So Monday I will p/u my package... unless the P.O. manages to 'misplace' this one too!!!

Oh Grace, I have been at war with my PO for years. The routes are bid and whoever wins the bid keeps it...till death do us part...or even beyond.our carrier took the route from his parents and for all but 13 years of my 55 year marriage he or his emoyees attempt to bring the mail to our box. We find other people's mail in our boxes, sometimes it is in the road. Once it was a broken swap. When I actually went way higher up than him or our local PO, it got their attention...but nothing changed.
Anyway, I got my envelope today. They are cute. Hadlee had opened the package. When I was looking through I picked up the last one...it was so soft, like a kitty. What did you use for the waist band? I feels like goat skin.

Ladies there are two unnamed aprons. Or perhaps my old eyes could not see the letters. Lady bugs and butterflies. Linda was right, they are so adorablly awesome. Thanks ladies. Hugs sisters,

Well Grace, I filled a pocket on my big girl apron with little Porter tomatoes today. Yesterday it carried zip ties to repair the big chicken pen. Thank you again, for my big girl apron.

Both Deborah M and Shannon did not label their aprons, but I did not notice until I had all the envelopes sealed shut. I was in a hurry to get them packaged so I could get them into the RV for our trip.

Also, regarding post offices, I love my hometown PO. At the local PO here in Grand Rapids, the lady would not add a piece of tape and she complained about other things, too. My PO will add tape, if needed, and she hand cancels without a fuss.

It is 'funny' how the personalities of postal employees dictate the mood in there. Some of them could never be beauticians, sales clerks, teachers, etc. and the list goes on. We have one man, he is very nice and helpful. We have four ladies who rotate in and out. The newest is also the oldest, but she is nice. One of the three younger(thirties???) ones is snippy and sort of like the lady you mentioned. If I could organize our PO I would schedule package pickups every hour at a window that is not inside where you mail and purchase stamps. I understand that they do not just sit, when they are not up front they are sorting and helping each other in the back. I also find it interesting that some rural delivery folks treat their job as a regular work day. Their service is very dependable. Our carrier wants to pay as little as possible to his driver...so they must show up early and finish by about noon. When he runs the route our mail never arrives before 2:30pm and has been as late as 4:30 pm. Ridiculous and yes I have complained.

Back in Spokane.. we lived out on the West Plains...aka... farmland and homes were a distance apart.. and we had 'contract ' mail deliverer ...Our first one was 'Grizzly Adams... big grumpy bearded fellow... but mail was always on time and he would drive up to the front porch and leave the mail if it didnt fit into the box.
the gal that replaced him spoke very broken English ... she was from Russia or there abouts... she drove a beater car... smoked like a chimney and alwsys looked like she just craweled outta bed...
my mail recked of tabacvo smoke and on (too) numerous occasions I had coffee rings & stains on my mail and magazines...
After she was replaced we got a really nice guy... and he would deliver our mail at the door...and ring the door bell....
3 carriers in 7 years...
hmmmmmm.....

Everyone should have their minis by now, I think. I hope everyone likes and enjoys them. You will be getting the minis from Jana very soon. Be sure you have sent her your addresses.

Don't forget to start working on your Fall and Christmas minis - they will be the last ones we do. I'll start signups soon for the Fall ones.

Hmmmmmmmm - is your mail delivery slow? I thought they would be there by now. and Michigan is a lot closer to Wyoming than Texas at least I thought so. Hope they come today.
