So I probably missed this but what dimensions do the aprons need to be? I might need to decrease the size of the pattern I found.
I tried to get the Simplicity pattern for apron ornaments that is all over pinterest, but no luck....

We sort of keep it in the 5" dimension .... but they can be smaller or larger depending on what ever pattern you use.
I wouldn't go less then 3".....
I love all the different sizes, styles, designs and fabrics ... when they are hanging on my wee mini clothes line, it's fun to look at them with no two alike.

So sorry you couldn't find the patterns, Deborah. If you or anyone wants the apron ornament patterns and can't find them (there are two pattern companies that have them) I can look at my JoAnns and when they have a pattern sale I can try to find you one or both of them. Let me know and we can work out the details.

Shannon.... you are not alone... I came up with what I thought was a great idea... only to give me fits and poured myself a glass of wine... that was yesterday... today I took a different approach and it worked out...
Don't stress and don't get discouraged  .. keep it simple... after all we are suppose to have fun...

When I make these I let the mess around me (different small pieces of fabric and trims) dictate how each apron comes together. I guess I get bored easily, so I usually do a bunch of different ones.

Looks like we are at 10 animal themed mini aprons...
Purrrrfect number and I had a howling good time making mine and I only groweled a couple of times while futzing with them... but who gives a hoot, Right!
