speaking of jeans,,, here is what you can make with the upper legs of old jeans...

I made this several years ago...

the top part of the apron is actually the lower part of the jean legs and the lower part of the apron is actually the thigh part of the jeans..
sew the 2 legs together,, ad a waist and sash and a ruffle or trim for the hem...
yep, easy peasy...

I'm sure mens ties would work for the wind catchers, Sara. I'm looking for mens ties, too - bright ones. I want to add them to the top of a pair of jeans for a skirt.
