Hi everyone! For my 5 year old, on Fridays, I make a dinner where the name of the recipe corresponds with the phonetic letter/sound he is working on... I'm working on March and i think my brain is getting tired! Since you guys were so helpful last time, i thought I would most it on here again... I'm also going to post the ones I have already figured out, so you get some idea of what I'm doing... as well as what they are ;)
X - Xavier Steak (grilled steak topped with asparagus and melted cheese) or Xaver Suppe Y - Yassa (Sengalese lemon chicken) Z - Zigeunerschnitzel (aka Gypsy schnitzel) long A (such as in Ape) - long E (such as in Emu) -

That is so cute Shannon! I wish I had thought of that when my girls were young.

Thank you Jana! I think my hubby wishes I hadn't thought of it, lol! We have new foods almost every night of the week... most nights are themed... Friday is Phonics night, Tuesday is Geography, and Wednesday is FIAR (Five in a Row. If we are studying a specific country for History on Tuesday or Thursday, we add those in as well, adjusting the schedule as needed... plus holiday meals. So for example the week of March 5-11, we are having Ga Kho and Rice on Monday for Vietnam, Greek Penne & Chicken for Greece/History, Miners Beef Stew with Coal Miners Pasties and Coal Cookies for FIAR/'The Rag Coat", Brazilian Chicken with Coconut Milk for Brazil/History, and Yassa for "Y" I just need to figure out Sunday and Saturday :)

That is such a fun idea Shannon! It sounds like a good way to explore new kinds of food from different places. I bet your kids love that their food connects with their school.
