It's time to start signing up for FEBRUARY Mail Art!
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines.
FOR FEBRUARY, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through February 15. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
It seems fitting for a long list of reasons to make our February theme one filled with love, as though we are able to send a hug via mail, let's give it a try! And as always, if the theme is not right for you, feel free to do your own thing.
I will send an email with your partner to you on February 16. Please send your Mail Art before February 28. It's a short month, so don't wait until the last minute or it will be mid-March before you know it! 
I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. We all love seeing the inspiring art! And a quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.
A couple more things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

Hello sister farmgirls!
Please allow me to use this forum to give thanks and praise to God for goodness and blessings. I am happy to report that I am back in my wonderful farmhouse in the walnut orchard after having joined the 188,000 people in my county who were evacuated from their homes during the recent crisis at the Oroville dam in Northern California. Yes, my house lies right in the projected path of the flow of water if the spillway were to collapse. In fact, my property is bordered on the north by the levee which controls the Feather River flowing out of it. It has been an amazing event to walk for a bit in the shoes of the displaced and the refugee, and heartening to know that we could all be civilized in the midst of chaos. If you were one who was aware of the story, and sent up a prayer, please let me thank you from the bottom of my heart!
So good, now and then, to get a little bit of perspective.

You guys are all so great! Its hard to imagine how one will react in a true emergency, and how little I own that is precious to me and irreplaceable. It was, though, difficult to leave animals in the barn, not having time to evacuate them. Thankfully, they were spared all the stress by not even knowing!

Sara...over the years I've lost so much through various conditions..(flooding being one of them) but the one thing I couldnt fathom is walking away from the animals!!! I am choked up thinking of you having to do that!! Thankful all is well!!!

Yesterday, my mailbox was holding the sweetest February Mail Art from April T. A lovely "Love" filled pocket that was filled with images of roses and forget-me-nots!! Included were the actual seeds! The pocket was crafted from pages of a book written in French! Didn't know the words, but the French words were lovely to look at!! Lace and ribbons abounded!! To start it off was a lovely handwritten note from April. What a lovely surprise on a dark rainy day!!!
