Hi Ladies,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Wanda, I'm new to this forum message. Just join a couple of days ago.
I've recently learn on how to knit socks. The hardest part one to learn how to graft the toes. It's call the ketchner stitch. Needless to say I got much better at it. Now I'm on my third pair of socks. Does anyone have a pattern for men's socks? My husband (we've been married for 7 months as of June 25th of 2006) ask me to make him a pair. Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank, and have a good day. Would love to hear from anyone who respond to my message. Wanda

Hi Wanda!

Welcome to the Farmgirls Forum! I'm glad you found us, and I know you'll have a lot of fun here!

I'm just finishing up a pair of socks for my husband now and I got the (free) pattern from Knitty.com. Here's the link:

http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTuniversalsock.html

It's a Universal Toe-Up Sock Formula that can be applied to any foot - child, woman, man, you name it! You just take a bunch of measurements and plug your numbers into the "math" and voila - you have your very own custom sock pattern.

I just finished sock #1 for hubby last night and it fit him like a glove! Or like a sock! I did the bind off at the cuff too tight, so I need to re-do that so as to not completely cut off the circulation in his calf, but the toe, foot, heel, ankle and cuff are perfect!

Good luck with this pattern or any others you try. There are a bunch of us Knitters here on the Forum and we'd love to hear more about you, your knitting and your projects!

Hi Wanda. I don't knit socks, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum. I am trying to remember where No. Attleboro is. Is it near the Mass/RI border? I grew up in Marshfield. Glad you found us!!
