If it were extra for whatever I could do with it..... So many projects on the list.... I would buy the trim to finish the windows and doors in the remodel side of the house --or-- Buy another 5 yards of good topsoil and pay someone to "install" in where I need it in the back yard garden for the raspberry and blueberry patch -- or -- put in a backporch canning stove, already have hot and cold running water, just need the stove --or-- FINALLY get that picket fence for the front yard, yes. I think the fence would be top of the list.

I would get the supplies for a greenhouse, a bigger coop and run, a bigger chicken tractor, and all the potting soil and seed trays I could afford. Oh yeah, and lots of heirloom seed!

If I had $1000, I would:
-Save $100 of it. -Use $100 to pay for my cat's annual vet exam. -Use $200 to pay back the power company, and $100 to pay the deposit to get the power back on. -Set aside about $100 for 5 months of the yoga classes that keep me going. -Use the rest to take my boyfriend or send him on the Australian biking trip I know he dreams of going on, since he's done so much to support me in our relationship and I always feel unequal to the task of returning all of that to him. -If anything else was left, I think I would use it to start a craft business. |

I have met the most wonderful friend here on MJF, Linda(prayingranny) and we are emailing or calling all the time. We share so much and our interest so very much the same. We have been trying to find a way to get together and finally meet face to face. We don't live that far from each other, but money and time gets in the way. So if I had $1000 extra to spend, I'd make sure we could find a nice place to meet and we both love antiques and crafting. So we could have a hayday just running around and getting to know each other better. She is a true sister to me. God is Good, he has brought us together right here on MJF. So all I can say, is enjoy all the girls here, they are all blessings.
Hugs, Brenda

I have to say that I love Angie's idea of a cookstove on the backporch for canning!!! What a great idea that is for us because we do a lot of home canning, and that would sure cut down on noise and heat in the house! Personally what would I do if I had 1,000.00 to enjoy? I think I would take a road trip and stop at some garage sales along the way and enjoy!! |

I would use it to paint my little house and get it fixed up. It needs lots of work.

oh I know what I would do!! I would go to my favorite stores and pick out as many cute things I could and send them to farmgirls! I love doing RAOK but I always have to worry about how much money I spend. Then I would donate some to the animal shelters in my area and then I would take my family out to dinner and buy them a little something each. :) Hugs, Channah

I would either put it away for our (hopefully) European trip next summer. It is going to cost us a fortune to take us and 5 kiddos!
