We sure did enjoy this dish. I had made several and popped them in the freezer. Got them out and baked them. So easy. There's a picture of the Spaghetti Pie over at my blog. Yummy! Thanks, MaryJane.

Oh thanks for sharing! I saw that recipe and it sounded good. I made a spaghetti pie a few years back that I was really dissapointed with (NOT MJ's recipe) and was afraid to try it again! You've given me new hope! :) I have Spaghetti on the menu this week so maybeI'll try it!

I have looked at your blog several times, very cute and always find it fun to read yours posts. I did leave a few comments for you, even if I don't win the prize.

Glad you guys enjoyed that picture of MaryJane's Spaghetti Pie. It was delicious indeed. MaryJane's Farm gave me the green light to post the recipe. Isn't MaryJane the best EVER???
Okay, here is the recipe exactly as it appears in the Farmgirl Connection Cookbook.

Spaghetti Pie
From MaryJane Butters in Moscow, Idaho

12 oz. spaghetti (fist full 1 1/2" across)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
2 cups cottage cheese
3 cups spaghetti sauce (bottled or fresh-made)
1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
3 tbsp butter
2 eggs (well beaten)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Stir butter into hot spaghetti. Stir in parmesan cheese and eggs. In two buttered 9" pie plates form "crusts" by putting the spaghetti divided equally into the bottom of both pie plates.
Next, spread cottage cheese evenly over both "crusts." To each pie, layer 1 1/2 cups sauce on top of cottage cheese. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over both pies.
Bake 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes. Cut inot pie shaped wedges and serve. Makes two 9" pies - 12 servings.

Enjoy!

Rebekah, I just visited your blog for the first time. I truly enjoyed it, and tried to leave a comment about the cold frame. But, it just wouldn't post for some reason, and I did finally get some error message on my screen about blogging. I'm new to all of this, so maybe I did something wrong. I did successfully post a message on another blog spot the other day. I look forward to visiting your site again.

Yay! I just made this for dinner tonight (halved the recipe though - it's just two of us!) since it seemed the perfect blustery winter night comfort dish (they're calling for one to two feet of snow this weekend with highs in the teens). It was fantastic, and hubby gave it two thumbs-up as well! Thanks for sharing :-)
