Marti, I love the fabrics you chose...especially the pianos. I asked for piano fabric at our local quilt store...but there was none, so I am glad you found some. Thank you.

Marti, I received your fabric today! My favorite second oldest DGD would love this! She plays french horn and piano and loves concert music! She is the one I will make something for from the music squares. Thank you!

I received Marti's fabric today; These are going to make a great quilt. Now to decide what fabrics to use for the sashing and corner stars. I think I have some in my stash.
Here is the picture again.
However, I may reverse the colors and put white sashing and black corner stones - haven't decided yet. Since there are light and dark backgrounds in the fabrics, I'm not sure which would work best.

Linda, I love that quilt pattern, way cool!
Judith, that is so awesome! My eldest DGD plays the violin, I play flute and piano, son plays saxophone, daughter-in-law plays piano and step daughter plays clarinet so i have a ton of ideas, I have fabric left over so I'm using it all for some wall hanging thingies i think for everyone.
Marilyn, i couldn't find it at the local fabric shop either, so i ended up ordering from MSQ.
Joyce, I'm thinking it could take ever so long to get to you :( I hope sooner than later tho! please let me know when you receive.
Christy (my neighbor girl) I kept trying to look at other fabrics and coming back to the pianos again and again so the decision was made. glad you all like them, and I love all of yours. now to the quilting!!

I have a BS in Music Education - main instruments were violin and viola. Also took courses in clarinet, cello, string bass, euphonium/trombone/tuba, percussion, oboe/bassoon. LOL! Only enuf of those to learn a smidgeon about them.

Yay! So only three more then :) Yes, depending on where you live in USA, it will take longer to get here. Also....we've had several storms with another one or two coming this week, so don't be alarmed if they don't make it this week. I'll post as soon as I get the three remaining from Jana, Marti and Denise.

Here's a picture of how I am going to put these music squares together. There will be a star at each corner. I chose a grey print for the sashing with black stars. I hope it blends with all the other color squares. I thought white would be too stark and black would get lost with all the black musical squares.
