I am posting this with plenty of time to gather up your fabrics for this next fabric swap. You have almost 2 months before mail-out date. Start gathering your fabrics now. As always, please use 100% cotton quilt-quality fabrics.

The next fabric swap will be for scrappy 6-1/2" squares - any fabrics except for holidays. We will each send 10 different 6-1/2" squares to each person who signs up. Each set of 10 squares does NOT have to be the same fabrics, so you can use your stash to cut squares.

If we have 12 people, we will have 120 different squares, which will make a quilt 60" x 72" without borders. If we have 240 squares we can will make a quilt 90" x 96" - a good queen size quilt. These quilts will be great farmhouse-style quilts. I will post a picture of one as soon as I can clear off the bed and take a picture. LOL!

I hope you will join us.

Signups begin: November 16
Signups End: Noon, December 16
Mail-out date: January 10

Gotcha, Marilyn. Thanks for joining.

I always cut my fabric scraps into various sizes and strips, kinda like Bonnie Hunter's method. I will cut lots of 6-1/2" squares and put in groups of 10. Got plenty of time to get ready.

Glad to have you join, Rebecca.
Are you sure you can't join, Angela? We'd love to have you!

As an idea of what you will be able to make - here's a picture of my Christmas squares quilt made with 6-1/2" squares. This quilt is a very large queen size (hangs over 3 squares on each side) and is 15x15 (225) squares with 2 rows of 2-1/2" strips as the border.

Ladies, I am going to forward a couple of emails to those of you I have email addresses for. Debbie Fischer was one of our swappers but had to drop out because she was about to have eye surgery. Sadly, she now has many other problems and needs prayer. Thanks.

Yes, Lisa. Sorry to be so late. The total for the 6-1/2" squares is 8, so each person will cut and send 10 squares to each person.

I will send out the addresses for everyone.

I am willing to cut up to 20 squares per person, if anyone else would like to do that. Please let me know if you would like to trade 20 squares.
