I made this little apron for Halloween on one of my vintage sewing machines. It's vintage print Ellen Clapsaddle postcard fabric for the main, leftover from a project last year, and the contrasting fabric is vintage fabric I found at a thrift shop. The button is vintage, too.

I think it came out cute. I love ric rac, don't you? So old school cute!

What's on your sewing table? I am finishing up a stretch velvet holiday dress.

Nicole

Very pretty Nicole, you did a fabulous job and with a vintage machine.

As soon as I finish cutting my 10 x 10 squares for a Farmgirl Swap, I will be starting a Nautical Quilt for my son. It will be a "Pure" quilt totally done by hand as my sewing machines do not like me and I do not particularly care for them, LOL. It will take me sometime to finish my winter quilt!

Happy Sewing!

Very cute apron, Nicole!

I have nothing on my sewing machine at the moment, but that could change in a heartbeat!

Thank you all! It was so fun to make. I had made pillows from the fabric two years ago. When the fabric was on clearance I grabbed another yard so I could make an apron. Now I am back into sewing again big time, so I finally got it done. I also finished a black holiday dress in stretch velvet - what a pain to sew on! Next up is the same apron pattern in a Christmas print. I want to make a few for gifts. I also want to make something from a beautiful flour sack that someone special (CJ) sent me! I can't decide yet what I want to do with it - have a few ideas.

Do you all have a favorite pattern you like to sew?

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

I have a favorite apron pattern that uses a main fabric and then a half coordinating tea towel in the front. I don't think I'm describing it appropriately but its easy, I have made a few of them and you can switch up the fabrics specifically for the occasion/person you are making it for. I will try to find a picture.
