I think I figured out how to make them-if one grows their own tea components! I was wondering from hence yours came? I saw some online, and though I commented that they are kinda creepy, they are kinda cool too....
I put tea posy or blooming tea on search and found many. One site told how they were made. Harvest the tea leaves, dry them add dried foliage (it didn't say what kind) and add a dried rose. Somehow they compressed them and when added to boiling water, voila' Fasinating and creepy as you say. I'll try to find the site that told how to make it. MB
there are 2 really good sites for blooming teas that I like. One is all french but has good pics the other is from paper teas & their pics are better. Enjoy. psteas.com/blog/index.php/main/blooming-tea/ www.guanxi-tea.com Enjoy. I think the blooming tea thing started in China when craftsmen would carefully tie jasmine tea leaves around eatable blossoms. The first time I had it was at a B&B in new England.
