My better half leaves for Germany tomorrow on business and will be gone a week. I'm trying to figure out what kind of groceries to stock up and meals to prepare for ONE-

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks gals....

Melody I'm single so I cook for one all the time. Since it's only for a week here's some of my easy out of the fridge/pantry meals.

Baked Potato - topping of choice

Plate of nibbles - cheese, deli-meat - crackers - pickles/olives

Pasta with olive oil, garlic, parmesan cheese - crusty bread

Canned red salmon right out of the can with crackers & cheese

If I feel like cooking I'll make salmon patties out of that can of salmon and serve with green beans and frozen French fries.

Call out for pizza, dinner out with a friend, or surround yourself with every forbidden junk food you can think of and chow down.

Melody...I loved the picture you used with your post! I love when hubby goes out of town on occasion
and I don't have to really cook for myself. I thought Sara had all kinds of good ideas. I am one who
loves, thinly sliced apples, cheese, crackers,Summer Sausage and a glass of Rose'. That is my favorite
meal for one. I also eat all kinds of things my husband dislikes but I love when he is gone. Like
Kipper Snacks & Crackers or Smoked baby Oysters on crackers, Albacore Tuna Spread on a Dark Rye Bagel.
The list goes on and on but you get the picture. Lighter, easier fair. I also once in awhile take
a book, and head to my Favorite Restaurant and eat a slow leisurely meal all by myself. Or do a girls
night out dinner with some of my best friends. Whatever you do make it easy and fun.

Enjoy the reprieve from cooking!!!

Hugs and Smiles,
