One of the benefits of military service is the network of military hotell available at very reasonable prices all over the world. We have stayed in Berchtesgaden and Munich, but the best by far was The Dragon Hill Lodge in Seoul. They had at least 3 restaurants, 2 bars, Subway, a deli, a shoppette, a travel desk, and many other little shops that were in a separate wing. The rooms were comfortable, and a fitness center and inside pool were available. It is a short walk to the subway, and to local restaurants.

Vanessa, thanks for showing us the pictures. I'm so happy our service men & women have such a beautiful place to R&R in Seoul.

I agree the military has some great hotels. I have stayed at the on Hawaii, and multiple times at the resort in Germany called Edelweiss.

We stayed at the billeting in Kunsan, South Korea too, but it wasn't as opulent. They asked us to only sleep in one of the 2 beds in our room.

Key West can be pricy, but the Navy has several lodgings for military.

We are staying at Lackland Villa for a few days. It is on the Wilford Hall (which has a brand new addition), BX and Commissary side of the base. Very comfortable and affordable (now we are double retired & need to watch the money).
Also close to the parade grounds. Memories!

Hubby and I are staying at the New Sanno Hotel in Tokyo. It has 4 restaurants, a Navy Exchange and a gift shop, plus it is a short walk to the subway. I dragged poor hubby to the Nippori Fabric Street and shopped my heart out.

I also want to mention that last night at 11:30 (I checked) the fire alarm went off (real loud) and a loudspeaker informed us that there was a fire alarm on the 2nd floor, but to stay in our room while they check. After 5 minutes another alarm sounded & we were told that it was a false alarm. I dropped back to sleep, but I bet those with kids didn't.
