Hello Farmgirl friends!

I'm new to Mary Jane's Farm and am loving it! I came across the Mary Jane's magazine a few months back when I was creating a care package for a dear retired lady friend of mine. I couldn't help but flip thru the pages, and ended up buying a copy for myself, too! Needless to say, I have fallen hopelessly in love with it! February issue was my first and mail art was advertised, got hooked. I'm married, have two sons, live in central Oregon, love gardening, glamping, being creative, spreading love and goodness! I received my new farmgirl packet just Friday, was so happy and can't wait to gussy up my farmgirl patch and embellish a favorite denim jacket! I look forward to making new farmgirl friends and being part of such a special group of women! XO, April

Thank you, Ladies, I'm excited! Gosh, I love to scrapbook, make childrens time capsules, papercrafting I guess, I love creating anything crafty, and love decoupage. I love to garden, and harvest my garden, nothing more rewarding, family history, cooking, baking, love love love trying new recipes, I've also started a family history recipe album including pictures and tid bits from and about my family members, their memories surrounding the recipe, including great grandparents, I love baking breads and delivering them to my neighbors. I love old mason jars, tea cups, I love the idea of sewing, and I certainly try, although I'm still challenged with patience and definitely am a novice seamstress, but I try! My favorite sewing project was creating a couple pictures quilts for my parents, in laws and grandparents years ago which included pictures of all family members, they turned nicely and were special. I want to learn how to can, my mother canned all growing up, but scared the day lights out of me w/ the canner, since then I have always thought of that thing as a ticking time bomb. I was gifted with a canner when I was first married, 21 years ago, but I never had the courage to open the box, ended up selling it in garage sale years ago and regret that action today. I've been pondering purchasing another one to finally learn, and face my fear at the same time - work in progress. I love to glamp, fish with my boys, hike, anything outdoors, read (reading is therapeutic) I love bookmarks, have several in every book I own. I love anything spiritual. My most recent read was: The Alchemist. Loved it! Another special read: True Love, by Thich Nhat Hahn. I love churches and have created an inspiration board I have hanging over my work desk (I work from home) it has pictures of things I love, that I find beautiful or inspiring, just love it! I have touched on painting, embroidery, lost the know how to knit and crochet, as it's been too many years since I've done it, but am looking to refresh my memory and getting started again, as I love hand knitted slippers! Anything cozy and home made just warms my heart! I lost myself there for a handful of years, plus, but am re-finding myself again. I must admit, it's nice your roots stick with you no matter what! Faith, family and friends! My wishlist: a bit more land for a larger garden, including a separate flower garden, and chickens! I look forward to spending time on the "Farm" and making new farmgirl friends! Thank you for the warm welcome!

Hi Marsha! We have been 90/95 all of June, has cooled down to 70/80 last week, expected to go back up to 80/90 this next week. We're high desert, so we're dry in climate, love it. Winters are cold and beautiful, but sunny nearly most of the year. May be 15/20 degrees out, but blue skies and sunshine! We just bundle up and head out doors anyways!! Been to Florida once maybe 18'ish years ago... we hit the Disneyworld area, never made it around the pan handle, hope to do that one day!!

April it's sounds like a beautiful place to live where you are. I love having the sunny blue skies here in Florida all year too. I will put your area on my list of travel spots once we get our camper. I've been to the panhandle and there are some beautiful spots there as well. I've lived in Florida all my life and seen every side of the state all the way down to the Keys and Everglades. I like the West Coast best for the shells. If you come right after a storm the beaches will be covered with thousands of shells ready for the picking.
