Before

After

Finished restoring and putting my own slant on a gorgeous Mid Century Danish louvered cabinet that I bought last week at a church rummage sale for $5.00. French Gray Chalk paint-waxed and buffed the dickens out of the louvered sliding doors and the painted portion with Butcher's wax-found some satin black matte hardware and painted the 'shoe' portion on the sweet mid-century legs... also in a satin black. I think it turned out very well AND I had a lot of fun redoing it!

Looks Very Nice Mel...you do such beautiful work. Are you keeping it or are you selling it?

What a Great buy for $5.00!! How many shelves does it have inside?

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy

Giving it away....I thought at first maybe bringing it down to Nashville for my son, but my daughters apartment is all done in Mid Century so we will bring it on down to her place along with a pair of Mid century side tables I just finished. Only two staggered shelves. Perfect for a little mini-bar or record collection!

What a nice piece you restored, Melody. You did a great job!! Your daughter is going to love having this piece for her home with her other mid-century pieces. Such a gem you picked up for $5!

I hope one day to have a little work shop for all my tools and room to work. My house right now is at sixes and sevens, but we put up with it when creativity is in progress!

Thank you girls for all your praise--It means a lot to me and keeps me going.

It looks beautiful! What a great find and you did a superb job on bringing it's beauty back. I'm sure your daughter will love it.

Lovely! It makes me happy to see Danish Furniture lovingly kept and restored. My hubby is Danish and was in the business over twenty years. We had our own store over a decade. Such beautiful lines that mixes well with other styles. You did a good job! Love it!

Nicole, I've always ADORED Danish Modern. The lines are simple-clean-elegant yet understated and far from ornate. Thanks so much for your kind words. I am always on the "hunt" for the next project and I am always so thrilled to spot that diamond in the rough!
