Hmmmmmmm! I have so much fabric that all my 10" squares came out of my stash. LOL!

Everything is in envelopes and ready to go to the post office.

I have one of them cut and the other purchased. I like them both so much that I got an extra yard each for myself in case I want to use for extra squares or a border or something!

My squares will be dropped off at the post office this morning. One from my stash and other new print perfect for the theme. Not only is it fun handling the fabrics, it is fun to see just how spread out all over the country we are.

Enjoying the day!

Oh, isn't this exciting? I can't wait to get started on my farmgirl swap quilt!

Everyone - please be sure to ask your post office person to hand cancel the envelopes. The envelopes can get torn up in the machines.

I use a card stock piece of paper and put the fabric inside. It looks like I am sending a card. It cost me last time 61 cents. If you ask for hand cancelling they charge you 91 cents. just an fyi

My PO doesn't charge me any extra for hand canceling. And if you press the fabrics right it only costs one stamp in a #10 envelope.

Using the cardstock folded like that it is fatter and has to go as a large envelope because you have to fold them differently and it is thicker. I believe that is why it costs extra.

Bev, I was told it was an extra charge to hand cancel also. However, I went to another post office and when I asked if they would fit through the card board slot they use and then asked to have them hand cancelled, the clerk said no problem and no extra charge. Go figure. I will go to that post office from now on.

It seems that smaller post offices are more user friendly.
Our post office does not even have a "Hand Cancel" stamp, but Glen Rose does. That is thirty miles away. Last time The Man, in our PO took my envelopes and said they would take care of them...meaning they would mark them so they would not need to go through that device in Fort Worth. I also had two regular stamps on three fabric squares.

I have seen different Post offices doing different things I have figured out that for me the way I described works best and doesn't cost too much.

At our post office it depends which postal clerk you get! It's pretty small, so I guess they do their own thing.

All envelopes sent out yesterday.
Post office man said I had to pay extra for hand cancelling. As I was putting the stamps on them, he was hand stamping them.
Seems a little silly to charge an extra 21 cents for him to hand stamp them, but, oh well. At least they are all out and on the way to ya'll.

Hugs and Squishies!!

So sorry some of you have to pay extra for hand canceling. I have it done because sometimes the postage machines tear the envelopes when there is fabric in them.

Received squares from Linda, Cristy & Sherry.

Oh my goodness....I can't wait to see the rest of the colors! I already have a pattern in mind. I'm not telling, yet. It all depends on the rest of the squares.

I feel like I want to take the envelopes to the post office to show "Wayne" (my postman-at the post office) how others didn't have to pay the extra!!! But, I won't.

Hugs and Squishies!!

Kathy
