Hi Gals - I know, the catalogs are coming in and just tempting the daylights out of us with all the wonderful flowers and vegetables and herbs.
I was thinking that perhaps we could celebrate the upcoming spring on Maryjanes by doing a friendship seed exchange? I have seeds I harvest from my garden and I am sure you all have some too. If not, then perhaps you have a packet of seeds you would just like to share with someone.
Anyways, I am brainstorming this one - are you interested?

I'd be interested. I'd have to do packets as I haven't had a garden for a few years.

Jewelry, art, baskets, etc.

You read my mind! Today I was just thinking about posting on here that I have some great Texas seeds that I want to share with a Farmgirl since I'm moving to Michigan.
I'd love to share my seeds!

Remember girls, if you are interested in participating in this please email me your name and address so I can keep track.
Can't you hear the flowers getting ready to grow :)

Is there any flower or herb or vegetable you have been longing to grow but haven't yet??? Is your dream garden a romantic hodgepodge cottage flower garden? Do tell! Is there a scent that takes you instantly back in time - for me it is the heady smell of honeysuckle wafting through the summer night air...................

my favorite scent is from the English Cottage Rose, it has a faint lilac scent that reminds me of the old roses my grandmother used to grow.

Kathy, I too love the smell of honeysuckle...I havent found any here in Maine yet, anywhere. I may have to go on a mission to see if it will grow here and plant some. I am from much more south and there wasnt a summer day that you couldnt walk down the lane with that smell filing the air....Thanks for taking me back.

I definitly am planting lilac and wisteria this year. And grape hyacynths are also sweet smelling...they just dont last that long.

I guess I emailed you but forgot to post here! Duh! It's been that kind of week! I would love to seed swap! And I love the scent of winter jasmine, Clethra alnifolia , Gold flame honeysuckle, sweet autumn clematis, damask and beach roses. Add sugar cookies, pies and bread baking and that is how my childhood smelled!

Please add me, I've swapped seeds for many years, it's a great way to get different kinds that you may never find. Such fun! Are you doing it round robin style or one on one? I"m sending you my info. Thanks for the spring fling!

Hi Gals - the deadline to get your address to me via email is Feb 20th - then I will give everyone names/address that they will then gather the seeds they will be sending to those people - u can do this anytime or as close to the first day of spring as you like.
If you want to participate and haven't emailed me your address and name, please make sure you do.....Spring is right around the corner.
Also, you can include something small with your seeds if you like but you do not have to.

I'm in, too. I'll probably have to do seed packets since I'm starting with a clean slate this year. I've got a few things coming back from last year from bulbs or plant starts (roses, hydrangea, wisteria), but I didn't get/save any seed. I love anything with a fragrance. I'm partial to the smells from my childhood...honeysuckle, lilac, English rose...but I love them all!

Kathy - I've sent you an email with my information.
