ALL OF YOU!
OK so we went to Texas for Christmas and had a wonderful time. Got to see my big sis Farmgirl K!
My husband and I decided we wanted to be at home before the 1st. So we trecked out driving back to Colorado on the 28th only to be told in Amarillo that we could go no further. The snow and ice was so bad they closed all roads leading to home. We thought ok maybe tomorrow, lets get a hotel and just wait. Well, we waited and waited. And ended up being there 4 days/3 nights. Not my idea of a great time. Did I mention the 2 dogs, a cat and our two kids that were with us, lol!
We ended up getting home the night of the 1st. We made the best of it. But gee was it good to curl up in my own bed that no one else that I didn't know had ever slept in. It was my bed! my pillow! My dust mites in the mattress, lol, j/k!
Anyway, I am home now, and glad to be talking again to all my farmgirls friends. I did take my laptop, but never once had time to open it(and the hotel didn't have internet in our room). So needless to say I had a ton of emails to tend to when I got home. I am catching up on all that I missed over the week. You gurlz are busy!!!!!

Glad to have you back in one piece! I was wondering if your power was out and that's why we hadn't heard from you. Atleast you got the good part of the visiting accomplished! My college roomate sat in the Denver airport for 4 1/2 days before being rescued by my husband's friends from college. They had never met before but that's where she spent Christmas!I am waiting to hear the whole story but it had to be better than living IN the airport! Nice to have you back, stay safe and Happy New Year!

with a happy heart

Thank you so much! It is good to be back and to know I was missed. I feel so sorry for your friend. Sitting in that airport. But I would love to hear how her story turned out with your husnabds college buddies. Post when you find out!

Happy New Year to you as well. Many Blessings!

LILPUNKIN,
Wow that was some trip, I know you must be so glad to be home. I bet the kids and animals were as excited as you to get back!

I was wondering how many of our farmgirls were affected by that terrible weather out your way. Sounds like you had quite an adventure. Too bad it wasn't a nicer one. So glad that you're safe and sound in your own bed again. Just like Dorothy..."There's no place like home."

So glad you had a great time, AND made it home safe and sound. Yes, doesn't it feel like something important is missing when you're not 'down on the farm' regularly?! Nance
