I got some sad news today. One of my best friends (and she may be a Mary Jane's farmgirl too) got a visit this morning from the Army. Unfortunately her brother was killed in Irag yesterday. Please say a prayer for Mariah and Aaron...He was all the family she had left, other than her DH and children. Thanks.

And keep all those serving overseas in your thoughts as well.

I'm so sorry to hear such sad news. We have a friend who's son is in the marine special forces reserves. He hasn't been called to duty yet, but we worry every day about him ending up in Iraq. We'll include your friends brother in our prayers. Please let her know how much his courage and bravery are appreciated by all of us and our condolences for her loss. Dawn in IL

Thank you everyone. I think that the timing was hardest part for them, being Christmas Day.

Erin - what tragic news on any day, and especially difficult on Christmas. I am so sorry - please let your friend know that she has the farmgirls here sending her prayers and thoughts of peace and comfort.

Heartfelt thoughts and prayers with you, and all the families dealing with separation! As a mother of a son who served 10 years, and was in Desert Storm, and Bosnia, I truly know the feeling.

They will be in my thoughts and prayers, there are just no words that can bring comfort at a time like this. I hope she finds strength and comfort with her family and faith.
