If you remember at the beginning of November she was sick for 2 weeks we almost hospitalized her due to dehydration. Well this morning at 2 am she got sick again by 9 she looked dehydrated again from fever and hurling. By 11:45 am we were at the doctor and yep about 8 or 9 % dehydrated. If she gets much more dehydrated in the next two days I have to take her to the ER for IV's. We have another appointment on Monday 11:30 am.
Please keep her in your thoughts she is only five and still had not recovered the weight from the last time she was sick not a very big little person either( less than 40 pounds around 35). She can't loose much weight and recover quickly.
She is sad about this as the other sickness messed up her birthday for 3 weeks. The doctor fears what she has will cause use to abandon all family plans for Christmas. Which makes her more sad as she was looking forward to seeing her great grandmother in California who is in her 90+ years.
Can't do a 12 hour drive sick with ear aches fever and the rest of it over mountains then get her great grandmother ill and possibly kill her. The other problem is here she has 2 great grandparents too one is already deathly ill and the other not far off so she can't go to Christmas here either. If the doctors tests come back positive for what he thinks then she is quarantined from great grandparents and little cousins for 2 to 3 weeks.
So much for Christmas. Not going to be much fun for her. As what we would have spent on her since we where going to California where there would be presents we decided to spend in on a little family in our neighborhood a mom dad 6 year old and 2 year old who have nothing for Christmas this was decided as a family the kids agree.
So you guessed it I am scrambling to make at least one gift for her as there will be nothing for her to open now or any of the kids but at least the other two can go to grandmas here and open presents. So please just keep her in your thoughts and prayers to get better so a 5 year old has a happy Christmas with great grandma in California that she only gets to see 1 to 2 times a year As there are not many of those years if even 1 left. And cousion Niki who she has been making a paper book full of drawing for three weeks now. Funny Niki is 15 and loves little kids and they all love her she would gladly play with them. So that is a real heart breaker she hasn't realized that part yet and boy is she going to be sad when she does yikes.
I can't even tell you how many times she has thrown up other than it is every 15 minutes like clock work since 2 this morning every where she goes she carries a bucket. To the doctor to the store to get medicine. People thought it funny she didn't.

Oh, Sunshine - I'm so sorry to hear about your baby buglet. She's in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm hoping that it's akin to something that we've had here - ugly and bad, but not long-lasting. Oh, I am so sorry - give her a big hug from us farmgirls...

No fun being sick when your small AND it's Christmas. Hugs to her and you and I will send some healing thoughts and prayers her way. Does she tolerate Pedialyte at this point? When Z was small we would try everything to keep him hydrated and he would take posicles of all things! Hey if it works , that's the point. Baby A took the Pedialyte more easily but when his fever was so high I resorted to the popsicles again and he is back to his kooky self after almost a week of strep and high fever reactions to the chicken pox vacine. I hope you are over this wave of sickness very soon.
with a happy heart |

thanks everyone. After a bath and pedialyte and Tylenol I hope it all stays down as she is cooled off from the bath I was hoping that would help keep the fever down enough to let some of the liquids stay in her. A lot of the times she was ill earlier it was just dry heaves or bial not good. She is resting in the other room at the moment with her sisters. That is the one real nice thing when one of them is sick the other two which ever it is try to make the sick one feel better that is nice to watch. I am sure it will bew a long night.

Hi Sunshine, Sending healing thoughts your way. I think sometimes it feels worse to see someone else, especially a little someone sick and disappointed, than to be sick and disappointed myself. May all be well, peapodjane |

Have you tried giving her small amounts (1tsp) every 15 minutes? SOmetimes this helps. My second one winds up dehydrated every time she gets to vomiting (she's 14) so if we can stave it off at the begining it helps sometimes.
praying for you,
Holly
sounds like the viral bug we had here last month! headache, malaise then 102 temp, vomiting and diarreha -- but it was only a two - three day thing. Uppin the Vitamin C, echinacea and oregano oil seemed to help.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Sunshine..I hope things start to look up for you girls soon.. My baby girl is just 17 months and was really sick with vomiting and diarreah. Luckily she is better today, and not dehydrated.
What did the doctor's test her for? The roto virus?? I sure hope it isn't that! It can be tragic for little ones, especially if her immune-system is still weakened from the last round of illness...
Keep me posted, and I will pray for you both! Kate

thank you everyone for thinking of us. P.S. I have about a foot of snow drop in my yard last night quiet pretty now just have to figure out how two sick adults are going to move it before it turns into rock ice. Life is wonderful it always keeps you guessing what is next. My thoughts this morning is usually my husband is gone from 7 am till about 7 pm with choir and priesthood and normal church and charity work for those in our church. Today when I thought I would be home with one sick kid the whole family is together on our anniversary sure we don't feel well but we are together and that is all good.

So sorry to hear that you and the kids are ill. It's so hard to see the little ones so sick like that and even harder to take care of them when you are sick too. I'll be praying for you and wishing you a happy anniversary.
Blessings,
Missy

Yep sounds like what we had here. I was the only one who skipped it this time. Have you tried the Vit C and oregano oil?
Lots of rest, fluids and vit c!
