Hi there farmgirls,
Just thought I'd offer this suggestion for merit badge applications:

Type your application text in a Word document to save and then copy and past it into your application in the boxes.

The reason for this would be so that you still have your information in the event you need to resubmit your application. It has happened to me on a rare occasion that an application has gotten lost out there in cyberspace and I have had to resubmit. I'm just really glad when I can just go back into my Word documents and pull it up, copy and paste and resubmit, without having to retype it all in the application boxes.. . and remember what I put!

I have done this with some of my badges, but not all! Great suggestion CJ!

Thanks Ceejay! That was not something I thought to do. But I will now.

I started keeping a little journal for merit badges where I sit and write what I'm working on, what I learned, what I'd like to do in the future, etc. I started using an old journal I was given as a gift, but I never thought about keeping it electronically! This is such a great idea.

Hi Ceejay! Super quick question - what was the time frame when you resubmitted in the past? I am just concerned because I sent in badge applications over a month and a half ago, and I fear they got lost in cyberspace. My main computer is at the manufacturer right now because apparently I had problems with it I was unaware of and I fear that my applications never made it through.

Cyndie,
I think you should send an email to Brian and let him know. I've never known the approval process to take that long and he can tell you if you need to resubmit.
Email: brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org

He's very helpful!
Hope you find them!

Hi there farmgirls!

Firstly, great idea Ceejay!

Secondly, the production of MaryJane's new book, Wild Bread, has temporarily slowed the process for merit badge approval. Apologies for the delay!

For those concerned, I'd say give it until the end of this week to see if you hear back from our team regarding your applications. If you haven't received an email from us by then, try checking your junk and spam folders since sometimes our emails have gotten flagged as spam.

Cyndie, I have emailed you directly to clarify some of the questions you had about your specific merit badge applications

Thanks all!

Hi Cydnie,
Are you the new "merit badge" person at the Farm? Just wondering . . .
Thanks for your help!
