It was a great surprise pkg and I so enjoyed it but it had nothing to do with Coloring. My Mistake!
Your pkg didn't come today either...so probably tomorrow. Gives me one more day of Fun!!!

Hugs,

Peggy, I'm not the least bit surprised that my package hasn't arrived yet. It seems like it takes days for mail to get from one side of town to the other any more. Our mail now gets sent straight out of Renton to Kent/Auburn for sorting then to Seattle/Everett for local processing and delivery. Then it comes back to Renton or heads on to whereever it's headed. I send mail with tracking quite often for Rotary Youth Exchange and it's just unbelievable to me how inefficient the USPS routing system can be. I'm sure its all about saving USPS alot of operational costs, but it sure doesn't promote local jobs and it doesn't do it's fair share to conserve fuel when you think about the extra effort it takes to ship mail bags to and fro. No wonder postage keeps going up by leaps and bounds.

But, in the meantime you can have fun anticipating it's arrival! Hope it gets there soon!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Sometimes I laugh (because that's all I can do) at the delivery. I have a prescription that comes from a compounding pharmacy 100 miles east of me. But it either goes ALL THE WAY to Denver, in a northeasterly direction another 300+ miles or to Albuquerque, NM which is south about 250+ miles before it comes to me! I'm straight west! Go figure!

Peggy, I hope you get your package from Marilyn soon!

We have the same problem with Eureka and Fortuna.
I sent out a package once that I was able to track that was going to Paris Tennessee, It got stuck in Memphis who sent it back to two place in California who sent it back to Memphis all the while I was watching it. Finally the post master here was able to talk to some one and the person I was sending the package to finally able to talk to her area Post office and after 3 months and a form sent into pay for it she got the package and I was paid by the post office for being lost for a while. It was crazy.

Well Girls, look what came to my Mail Box today!!! I am so glad that you had it protected by the
file folder Marilyn because my postal carrier put it in my small mailbox folded over. I was a bit
miffed about that...but in all seriousness it wasn't bent or anything! I was so Happy about that.
I really think the Mandela is Beautiful! At least that is what I would call it. You did a lovely
job on it! And thank you so much for the 2 other coloring pages...I will have fun doing those!!!

This was a Fun Swap CJ...I hope you will do another one...soon!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Oh my Peggy....I'm glad it arrived safely! I had so much fun coloring it, and once I finished it I just knew I had to share a blank with you in addition to the original one I picked out for you!

Yes CJ, thanks for hosting this swap. Let's do it again sometime!

That's another frustration about mail carriers....most of them will just cram anything they can right in the box without a thought. I've had things marked "do not bend" folded in half in my box before. The one that makes me most upset is when they put large envelopes in our large locking box slot with the smaller mail on top and don't bother to push it in until everything drops into the locked portion of the box. Then the neighborhood kids come along on their way home from school, stick their hands in the slot and fling all the mail out on the sidewalk, and go on their merry way. Oh, well we can't swap without postal workers so might as well not get too upset with them! Like CJ says....laugh at them, they are so entertaining!

Wow Darlene- I've never had a package go MIA for so long that I got a refund on the postage, but it sounds like your package had quite an adventure!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Darlene and Marilyn...the weirdest thing I ever had happen was I got a birthday card one time...
an entire year after it was sent to me. And several months later I got a Christmas Card that
had been sent the year before. Talk about taking the long way around Murphy's Barn. They both
had been mailed from Spokane...350 approximate miles away. Crazy!!! Yes, you can't be a farmgirl
and get to upset with the Mail Delivery Service or we would all drive ourselves insane! LOL

Hugs,
Peggy

Yes, it would be fun to do another swap . . . perhaps in a few months or so. Keep a lookout.
It is an easy and pretty uncomplicated swap!

Hey girls,
You could post your pics in the Coloring Page Thread in "Across the Fence" too! That way maybe other gals will see them and want to get to coloring!

Oh Peggy that is funny, well at least it finally found its way to you. be it a year or so.

Makes you wonder.

Marilyn nice coloring page! I love the colors.

I may have to post later, I tried getting my SD card to work with my computer and it did for a moment and then I took the SD out of the computer and the pictures on screen disappeared. I didn't lose the photos on the scan disk though. So not fair. I will keep trying.
