Alicia. You are scaring me about mono. One kid woke up Saturday saying her legs hurt and she couldn't walk (I don't know if she really couldn't walk or was being lazy). I looked up the symptoms and they seem to fit, fever, headache, sore throat and even the fact that it seems to come and go. I have no idea where they could have gotten it though since it isn't really easy to catch. Ugh I hope it isn't that. They have seemed well all weekend though so maybe we are through with this.
Love the picture of the fireplace!
Erin glad you had a great night out. I thought about going to bunko at church sat night but I had a headache so decided not to.

Alicia, it looks like you had a productive weekend! That cabin looks awesome! I'm so happy for you and your family.
I'm hoping to have a productive week. I have a plan for myself to get some spring cleaning done this week. Dining room today, living room tomorrow, tv room and craft room Wednesday, kitchen Thursday, downstairs bathroom and laundry room Friday. I'll worry about upstairs next week. I hope I can stick to it. It's supposed to be in the 60s all week. I'm excited about that. I want to get some Windows open! Now if only Maya (our malamute) would stop shedding...

Wow Erin!! That is a lot of work you have lined up!! I'm supposed to get our first floor cleaned out by the end of March (we have four floors including the basement, I've assigned each one a month, first floor is living, dining, kitchen and entry way). A month per floor is as quickly as I can hope to get through it!!!

My dog is a big shedder too so I totally understand that!!! My dog and cat both have skin issues lately and we are trying to get that figured out. I'm giving them coconut oil and eggs and I have some brewers yeast coming and I'm looking into getting them fish oil. I sure hope it clears up!! We are also considering getting a second dog, my dog has severe separation anxiety which seems to be getting worse lately. Our vet suggested a second dog a while back but we have been resisting. The problem is we have to get special permission from housing to have a third pet. I found one that would be perfect though!! LOL They will probably say no. It of course also means flying three back to the states which isn't cheap. Anyway....
So I think my kids are better but my son went to bed at 6 on his own and won't get up so I have no idea :(

Sorry if I am missing replies to posts. I seem to have missed a lot over the weekend.
Erin, I’m glad your movie and dinner was a success. I think you made a great choice by skipping out on Deadpool. I have heard it’s not good at all. If you can find a way to magically get your malamute to stop shedding please share your secret with me. My malamute sheds major! Especially right now!
Sabrina, I had mono when I was younger. It was horrible and I felt the same way as you have been describing your little ones. I pray they get better and don't have the horrible mono. For magazine choices I have been interested in parenting and childhood magazines.

I feel so bad for you girls with sick kids. I'll keep you and your little ones in my prayers. Did you do anything fun for your birthday Alicia before the sickness started?
Yesterday was mostly a success. I cleaned up most of the dining room. Not sure how far I'll get today though. I need to get school in and I have an appt with my midwife this afternoon. If I can just de-clutter the room, I'll call it a success! Normally I get up early to have time to myself, read my bible, check the news, etc. this morning my little girl woke up right when I did. Singing and coloring next to me since 6am.

Not really, Erin. We spent 3 days at the farm, so we didn't do much yesterday! Wish I could get more accomplished! Gabriel seems mostly better today. No one else is sick!!

Oh dang, Alicia. That's no fun for your birthday. I hope you can find some time to celebrate and do something fun.
Luckily we don't have any sickness at our house, but my little one sure has been a monster. He is starting the teething process. I keep telling him that his fingers are going to get soggy and fall off because he keeps chewing on them!!

We just got word that Matt is NOT on the list! It's a mix of good and bad, but I prayed a lot and it must be the way God wants it right now. Sadly there always has to be the first clock number to be laid off (the cut off person) and it is a friend of ours. Jeff has a baby, Sawyer, who has some serious medical concerns and is on a transplant list for a liver. Please pray for their family.

As for the 2 cavities I had filled, I am sore. :( 2 more to go, and another crown. When I went in for a cleaning a few weeks ago the hygienist kept saying how awesome my teeth looked, and they felt fine, too. I am sad the X-rays said otherwise.

Alicia I'll keep your friend and his family in my prayers. Do you know how Shannon is doing? I haven't seen her on here for a bit. Just wondering.
I'm not completely where I want to be with my cleaning schedule, but I'm getting more done than usual, so I guess I have to look at it that way. I had an appt with my midwife on Tuesday. The baby was an upside down Buddha. Legs crossed, head down, facing out. Haha! I'm going to make an herbal honey today that is supposed to be good for prenatal, postpartum, and breastfeeding. I hope my blender grinds them up well enough.

Shannon seems ok. But I am worried about her, seems strange that she hasn't been on. We were emailing yesterday. Aly is doing better, but is developing a rash, hoping it is part of the healing. Poor lil thing she can't catch a break!

I was wondering the same thing about Shannon. I hope things start to get better for them. I feel so bad. It always seems that everything crappy always happens at the same time.
Erin, I am getting so excited for you and your baby!
Alicia, that is so sad. I hope your friend’s family will receive many blessings. I am happy to hear that Matt was not laid off and I agree that everything happens for a reason even if we don’t see the reason now.
Yesterday I took my sweet Border Collie to the doctors and found out she has a sprained (possibly ruptured) ACL. I have to keep a close eye on her and limit her walking and running. If any of you have owned a Border Collie you know how hard that is!! And she is still a puppy to top it off! She is starting to drive me nuts! Ha Ha. She also likes to crawl under our bed to sleep. Now I have to stop her from doing that as well because the army crawl she does puts pressure on her leg. I just wish there was a way to take her energy for myself right now.

Alicia-yay seeds, congrats on hubby not being on the list but praying for your friend.
Erin-you are doing so much being at the end of a pregnancy! Don't push yourself too hard!!
Krista-hope your puppy is better soon so you don't have to try to contain her!
I'm finally feeling back on track this week. Everyone is well. I've accomplished a good bit. I even managed to exercise this week! Hubby has a 4 day weekend. We are thinking about going to a local Easter market tomorrow and then Monday I'll probably spend playing catch up/trying to get ahead while I can so I don't get too far behind when he goes back into cycle. (He teaches at a military school that lasts 4 weeks at a time and those four weeks are super busy for him, very early mornings, long days, some weekend days no time for anything then he gets a week in between classes when we try to cram in family time and getting caught up on house stuff). Well I'm off to see what else I can check off my list so I can relax and enjoy if we go to a market!
