My hubby is the same as your Ceejay and although his piles annoy me to no end at times, gosh darn it if he can't find the fix for almost every problem out of that stash of junk!!

Oh I have SABLE.....like totes of SABLE. A dresser full of SABLE. A entire room full of SABLE. Both my husband and I are "collectors/hoarders". We are planning an invention weekend in May to muck out the homestead and have a Yard Sale. What doesn't sale, gets loaded in the truck and we take a nice day trip to Salt Lake to various shelters for donations. Gotta get those bedrooms cleaned out for the upcoming wedding guests.

Sad news, sisters. My dear Aunt Sharon has passed away. She was diagnosed just last Sept with brain cancer and put up a good fight but her time here on earth is finished. She was a mere 56 years young and leaves behind an only son and his 11 year old daughter. They were the light of her life.

Just a reminder, if you love someone, tell them, show them, and never waste an opportunity to laugh with them.

The red ones are very special as they are going to an aunt who was just diagnosed with brain cancer a few months ago and is not fairing well and her lovely little granddaughter whose just 11 y.o. The blue one is for the grandson of one of mom's "besties" who has been helpful in the past eight months or so that we have been having to be 24/7 caretakers for mom. Anyhow, I've got to get these things out while the weather is still cold enough for them to enjoy them. As usual its "tick tock - tick tock" trying to beat the ever quickening of the clock. Thank you ladies for giving me another reason to finish things!

Doris, prayers and condolences. I lost my last remaining relative a few months back. It's not easy!
CeeJay, We have piles at our house too! I think that's a sign of creative people! :) LOL Except in our house its not just sewing and crafts, it R/C model airplanes and radio equipment. I took a bunch of clothes and books to Goodwill a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't make much of a dent. Just have to keep plugging away. Also, I may start giving sewing lessons. I've signed up with a website called Thumbtack. Have to see how it goes.

Thank you, Ceejay & Judy!

Feeling a little lost thinking about the future without my aunt. We were close growing up. So close in fact, my Grandpa said upon hearing of her expected arrival, "but I'm too old to make that happen!" To which Grandma said, "obviously you're not!" My mother was a senior in high school and said she dragged all of her friends over to see my Grandma really was pregnant as those were the days when young ladies often had younger siblings pop up after a brief absence and she had spent time living alone in another state a little earlier that year. It would have been too easy for assumptions to be made. . .

My aunt and I went to the same grammar school for a time and she never allowed anyone to lay a hand on me... ONLY SHE was allowed to poke, slap, or pinch me! She protected me when I didn't even know I needed to be protected. Much the way big sisters do for their siblings.

She's now free from her broken body and that is of some comfort. Knowing that there is no more suffering and that she did not linger in a sad tormented state, unable to walk or take care of herself definitely helps us deal with our loss.

God is good and He now has another angel there in heaven. She'd be the one with a little gleam in her eye that looks a bit devilish as she's always got something sneaky up her sleeve. No doubt she'll be the same in heaven as she was here on earth.

WOW! Sherri, looking good!
No garden planting here yet . . . still too early! But soon I will be pulling up the mulch and metal frames so that we can till and then, hopefully, plant seeds in about a month!
