I do so love this idea! I have always wanted to do one. Now, I've gotten a late start but maybe next year so I don't miss out!

Jessica, it's not too late if you want to do a lap quilt or wall hanging.

I started my wall hanging on Jan 1 and will finish it for the 2016 Jubilee weekend - May 8

I am planning on starting a new wall hanging on May 9 and have it fished by Sept for the FarmGirl Apple Festival.

Oct 1 I will decide if I will do a wall hanging for the remaining months.

I will hang them in picture frames on my front porch.

I pretty much bent all the rules but it works for me.

Working on this weeks square today. 4" light green square with a circle of orange in the middle and a yellow chicken, cut from left over apron fabric, half on the circle and half on the bottom square. Chickens do get up with the sun.

Thanks Judith and Jessica - I'm a little late giving y'all a shout out.

Finally hit on a design for this week's square. Only two colors - light green & bright yellow. I find just 2 colors a little harder to work with than when I have 3 or 4. What I came up with is a bottom 4" square of yellow with scattered print and a top 4" square of green.

Cut out green over a twig of red berries and over a sprig of green leaves. Used pinking shears so I don't have the hem the cut outs. Will add buttons to both cutouts. I think it will turn out okay.

All my squares are so different they are interesting when put together.

This week's square will be 2 colors - bright yellow & orange. Reminds me of a field of wildflowers. I'll see what I can come up with that will work off that idea.

Bright yellow & orange again this week. I bought a Fat Quarter at Hobby Lobby ~ yellow & white all over prints. Now I have new fabric to play with so I should come up with an idea soon.

Hurray for me! (I do believe in tooting our own horns.)

I finished my squares for temperature quilt wall hanging. I'm dealing with MS fatigue and fog so it's impossible for me to piece the squares either by hand or machine. So I am pasting with white glue on the back of the picture hanging on my front porch. Just have to take it out and turn it around and put back into frame.

Once the squares are all glued in place I will see if it needs a border or not. Once it's in the frame I will glue on mini-aprons out of yellow, green, & orange prints and scatter around the squares; aprons will hang on a line of heavy twine.

When it's all done it will hang on my front porch between two white whicker rockers. After Jubilee I will take it out, turn it around, put back into frame and hang the sunflower picture back in it's place.

That's a great idea, Sara. Please take a picture when you finish gluing the squares down with the aprons.

Brilliant, Sara! It sounds lovely! I can picture it; but, I'm still not doing it justice.
