I have a Fitbit One that's going on two years old. I like it because its a small profile which I can clip on my shirt or my bra so it doesn't get lost. The One doesn't monitor heart rate but it does everything else, and I use the app on my laptop to synch with it. I also use Charity Miles when I walk to earn money for Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation, but there are a ton of other great organizations to choose from too. The only problem I have with the One is I don't think it tracks distance very accurately....if I use Map My Walk and Charity Miles they are within a 10th of a mile, but One is always about 1/4 mile or more different. Anyone else notice this? I have verified that my stride is correct in my settings but it's still off.
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Thanks peggy! I added you today. This is fun. I have a hard time with activities showing up like someone above mentioned. I just started logging my walks myself i never could get the gps part to work for me- and that is working better. Well, i am off to finish up my goal for the day. I am close. Talk to you gals tomorrow!

So, far I am really excited about it!!!

I just finished my goal a few min. Ago. Had 30 steps left and walked around the house picking up and putting away little things until finally my wrist vibrated haha. I am still trying to figure out the food part. But being good about what i eat is sure easier for me when i dont want go waste all this effort. I love it. So far i dont sleep with my fitbit on, i already know i am a terrible sleeeper. Maybe someday. Mine is a flex. My daughter in law showed me her charge HR and i like that it shows the number of steps, the flex just shows the lights and then u have to look it up on the computer. I thought about returning this one and getting the charge hr but then didn't.

Well, I learned a couple things about my Fitbit Flex:
- the little lights need to light up when it's charging so you know it's making contact and charging. There are FIVE lights that progress from one to five indicating progress on the charging. IF they are NOT lighting up, I needed to clean the contacts! Lo and behold it worked!
- but then, the Flex quit completely! So that was a mystery to me, I thought maybe I put it to sleep. I didn't have time this morning to troubleshoot, but I just learned that if it's not working, not lighting up and/or not synching then perhaps it's needs a restart. So I learned how to do that . . . lo and behold, it works now!

CJ, I have had my fitbit since last July and love it! We should become Fit it Buds! Peggy and I are fitbit Buds so we taunt and challenge each other to get motivated. I am having so much fun with mine and friends.

P.S. I do have to tell you girls, that since my Fitbit is connected to my Map My Walk account, there are other activities that I log in MMW that add to what my Fitbit records on that account. Maybe someday I'll add those activities in to Fitbit, when I get more time and figure it out. CJ
