I received squares from Denise C. and Betty today. They are all so beautiful. Denise I would love to know the name of the vintage looking fabric, love it. And Betty I love the lady bug one, lady bugs are my favorite. Thanks girls

Omgosh, Cristy! I just received your completed valentine blocks. Seven of them! Wow! This will go a long way to completing the project! The biggest heart of all must be yours! Thank you so much!
They were done exactly the way we needed. I will square them up; and, of course some of the extra is for 1/4" seam on all sides. Hugs! 
Cristy also included a beautiful card which I will include with the presentation of the lap quilt. Thank you again!

Oh, Linda, you are a sweet one!
First of all, FarmGirl friends, I don't mean to turn this exchange into my project. I see there lots of other projects mentioned on this thread. (Although, I won't turn anyone down ) Secondly, I plan to complete this in February. It may not be ready on Valentine's Day; but, at least before end of month. Anyway, Valentine hugs are good any time. I know I don't want to feel stressed over this project and I don't want to rush any of you who offer to help either. So, that said, you girls are the best!

Judith, I signed the block you sent and it is on it's way back to u. I wanted to make more but with this flu just didn't have the energy this week. I have the instructions still tho. If u need them back pls let me know. Otherwise I plan to make some for your next project.

BETTY, I received your blocks and ribbon also.
Judith, I will mail your squares on Monday. I meant to do it today but our Delta Kappa Gamma group had a big gathering this morning for a book review, and visiting with a lot of old friends. It was not over until almost 12 noon. Our PO opens late and closes early on Saturdays, so I did not mail anything. I have several things going out Monday. I must tell you that I enjoyed making the blocks. It reminded me that I have tons of fabrics that I need to go snip snip, stitch, stitch and turn into quilts.

Marilyn, I enjoyed hearing about your Delta Kappa Gamma get together! It sounds like an active group. Please, don't worry about sending the square quickly! I just appreciate any at all. I never expected any of you ladies to actually make one, let alone several.

One ounce of vodka to one cup of water. It is a light spray starch. Vodka is made from potatoes which are starchy. It does not make your world sticky stiff like regular spray starch. You don't have to deal with those cans. Just get a spray bottle and mix it up. Quilter's delight.

Vodka water- we add 10 drops of essential oils to this- be like lavendear, and I'm partial to rose..
That's made with the 1 cup distilled water ( so no minerals are transferred to fabrics) and the 1 ounce of vodka.
Wonderful! I'm allergic to the fragrance in the Best Press product if I use it.

Mary thanks for the idea of rose essential oil. I will need to try this. The best press or as my sister calls it "spray and sniff", the bottles leak and stain my ironing board.
