Hi Farmgirls~ Remember last year we started a new tradition here at MJF that I called national Farmgirl Pie for Breakfast Day? It is the Friday after Thanksgiving where we all indulge in our left over pie for breakfast. Any kind of pie is fine too. I know that sometimes on Thanksgiving Day ,I am so full from dinner that pie seems too heavy to enjoy. Voila! Instant breakfast of Champions!!

Now that we have more international Farmgirl Friends who don't have the same holiday, the National Pie for Breakfast Day will be Friday, November 27, 2015 this year. We hope you will join in the fun!!

So, everyone who wishes to join in, mark your calendar because we have another special Farmgirl Holiday to celebrate together!!

Please post a photo of your breakfast delight if you are able and please leave us a post about what you enjoyed.

I love November and Thanksgiving and last year was especially fun carrying the fun over to Friday breakfast together!!

Hmmm, you know I am partial to this for breakfast!!

Winnie,
I think this an excellent idea! I will need the energy that only pie can bring when my sister and I go shopping on Friday. I do not get up at a crazy hour (we go to Joann's and then target, after everyone has gone home).
Its a shame for an excellent pie to go to waste...

Thanks for the reminder Winnie. I'll use any excuse to bake and eat pie!

Welcome pie enthusiasts!! Spread the word to your family and friends too. If your Thanksgiving plans include eating at someone else's house or at a restaurant, taking home a slice of pie for breakfast counts just as much as eating the leftovers that you made. Don't be shy! Hehehe, you will most likely get some others saying they think it is a great idea too. We know how to celebrate here at MJF!

I had some left over Pumpkin Pie with cheddar cheese this morning. It was delicious too! What did all of you enjoy today? Who has leftovers simmering on the stove as a big pot of soup to enjoy?

Yes, I do remember, Winnie! I was having pie as early as yesterday morning, though! LOL! YUM! What an awesome way to start the day! (Was thinking of you and smiling as I sipped away at my cranberry coffee, too!) Yesterday it was a sliver - and I do mean sliver - of apple (couldn't resist!); today it was a hunk - and I do mean hunk - of pumpkin. SO good! SO, so good! :) I love National Farmgirl Pie For Breakfast Day!!! Hugs - Nini
