First, I am so sorry I have not been as active as I would have liked in the last few months. I l o v e this place and all the women in it- I was just SO busy that I took some time off of all social media until it all slowed down.

But on to the exciting news! I found out last week that I was accepted to Mary Baldwin College in Staunton VA to study Historical Preservation and Creative Writing! I will be moving in the Summer and I am so excited. A little nervous because I do not know anyone there, but how lovely is it to start so fresh? It will just be me and my 3 year old, off to conquer the world!

Anyone from around there? What should I check out?

Thanks darling! I am SO excited! I got the push from an author who lead a writing class I took. She offered to write me a recommendation to any school I applied to because she loved my work. That was so big for me! That made me want to try to make it into a school and I did!

Congratulations Brianna!! You will love beautiful Staunton, Va. I grew up just down the mountain side in Charlottesville. Your program sounds very interesting and I think you will find the people of Virginia are very friendly and welcoming. All big transitions are scary, but you will find people at the college to help you and new friends on campus. I predict that once you settle in and get familiar with the area and school, you are going to love this new opportunity . Plus, living in a beautiful town on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains is about as close to perfect as you can get!!
