Yesterday a tragidy hit the Chisago Lakes High School and community. A family, living in a brand new house, lost their 18 year old son, a senior at my daughters high school, to carbon monoxide poisoning. The levels at their home were dangerously high and they were having symptoms of nausia and dizziness. They did NOT have a detector in their home. And now they are burying their eldest son. So I send out this reminder to make sure you have a detector not just for fire but also for carbon monoxide in your home and test it to see that it is working. A simple reminder to keep you all safe.

My husband is buying new smoke and CO2 detectors on his way home tonight after our "episode" last night. So sorry for your community to loose someone so young when it could have been prevented. Life IS precious, be careful everyone. Thanks, Beth sorry the reminder came this way.

That is so sad. My dad and step-mom almost died from the same thing. We had detectors installed in their home. I will be praying for this family.

That is so awful and sad - my thoughts and prayers go out to that family and your community, too. I checked our detector and it's working - thank you for the sad and timely reminder.

XOXO, Libbie

AW:( prayers to them and the area! We HAD one the puppy chewed the cord...we're getting a new one. The grandparents also have one but it was showing numbers so they had a guy come check. HONESTLY everyone needs a detector. We always think fire detectors but man they should go hand in hand when people check and buy them. I just read an article in women's day about a woman being poisoned by cm. Please if you don't have one BUY one it could save your life or loved ones!
